Any options besides rental to go to Kennedy and Beach?

Are there any other options besides renting a van, to get a party of 6 to Kennedy Space Center and the beach for just one day December 12? We already have our Kennedy tickets. None of us feels comfortable driving and it looks like it is going to cost well over $200 for rental, insurance and gas.

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

It is a very easy drive to KSC and the beach. I would recommend the car. There is a shuttle that goes to KSC but I don't think it goes to the beach.

Your personal auto policy and credit card might provide enough coverage. Most of us skip the overpriced waivers sold by the rental agencies.

There is a tour bus which goes to KSC. The cost is something like $100 pp, including KSC tickets. Even if they'll sell you a bus only the cost will be $$$ then just renting a car. Plus you'll have the expense of going to and from the nearest pickup location.

A rental will be much cheaper and much more flexible.
