Any one stay at the Sheraton Anaheim lately?

I'm looking for recent reviews of the Sheraton Anaheim (not the Park, the one that looks sort of like a castle). DH and I stayed there about 5 years ago and loved it, but the current reviews on Trip Advisor were luke warm. There were a lot of comments about the hotel need refurbishing, which concerns me. Then again, more people complain than complement so the reviews could be skewed towards the negative, so I thought I'd ask here!

We are "locked" into Sheraton hotels as that's who we have our points with (this needs to be a free stay, goodness knows this trip overall is costing enough as it is!). If the reviews of the Sheraton Anaheim are overall poor, we'll consider the Sheraton Park instead. Thanks, everyone!

We've stayed there many times. The last time was this past November. When we stay there we always bring our dogs with us due to their very pet friendly polices. We always get a king room with a sofa that opens up to the courtyard for the pups. We've always enjoyed staying there and will do so again most likely in the future. I've also seen the bad reviews of the hotel but we have never had any issues with the place.

I'm going to be staying at Sheraton Anaheim in October for a conference (sadly not Disney related) and was wondering the same thing as the OP. Any recent experiences with this hotel?
Also wondering if there are any restaurants within walking distance. Thanks!
