[/BA moderator told me I might get more help asking in here about this hotel. I found it on travelocity for $59 a night. I will be going with just my 8 yr old daughter and myself this time for her bday :goodvibes:) Safety is a huge concern being alone. What do you think or know about this hotel. i know its NOT on disney property and thats fine because I am driving up from west palm area anyways.I do not want to pay to park at a resort because i am taking the SUv with me anyways to the parks. kinda stupid to pay to park but oh well :)
Any help would be great !!:headache:

The hotel has a $7.50 per night resort fee. You'll have to pay to park in the theme parks. Guests staying at a WDW can park for free in the theme parks.

Price a Disney value resort for your days. Discounted prices can be as low as $69. Check mousesavers for current discounts.

Once you add the resort fee and the fee to park in a theme park the BW loses most (or all) of it's price advantage.

BW is a 2* property. It's an older property. My memory is it used to be a Sheraton. Four Points. La Quinta. Every few years it lowered it's chain affiliation rather then upgrade to meet current standards.

Oh boy glad you told me that. I havent seen any discounts for Disney reorts like I had hoped to. Will check mousesavers again . Never used Disney transportation except the monorail but heard bad reviews on them thats why I want to take my SUV. Ah gesh i hate all this. I been to Disney zillions of times and just cant think of the hotels we stay at off site except for Hampton inn but there around $100 anyways. I didnt know if I was a resort guest I got free parking at the parks so yeah this is a +. Thanks for your help!

Many (most?) offsite hotels either have a resort fee or charge guests for parking. A number of hotels have both. You need to consider those charges, and the cost to park in a theme park, when you crunch the numbers.

if I can find a hotel say around $60 a night thinking it will be a dump. What would be better to stay at the movies or music hotel? bear in mind I am bringing a 8 yr old for her bday so she will be 9 on October 21st. I am thinking Movies.

Sometimes discounted rooms are available at Music or Sports but not Movies. Decide if theming or rate is more important before you ask your daughter.

I prefer POP. Newer. I know you're planning on using your SUV but POP never shares a bus with other resorts and doesn't have any internal stops.

You can get deals on PL. The problem is some of the hotels in the lower * categories are dumps. The amount of parking charges and resort fees vary enough to affect the quality of the deal. JMO but the best deals are in the resort category. $80-$100 will frequently "win" a hotel like the Gaylord Palms. Add the resort fee and parking fee and you're over your budget but it's a great deal if you're looking for an offsite deluxe hotel.

I stayed there 4th of July weekend last year on a last min. trip. It was slightly rundown, but clean and comfortable, but the lake is a pond;) Last min on a holiday is was a good deal on priceline for $40!

I have not, but I've had friends and some family stay there and they thought it was perfectly fine.
