I've been to the location that used to be near my hometown, but the store was very hit-and-miss. Sometimes I'd find really awesome clothing and other souvenirs, but then other times I'd have trouble find anything...normal at all. Maybe since you are in California and closer to DL, you'll find more good stuff, but its anyone's guess. Good luck.

Even this location seems to be hit or miss- I think it depends on when new stuff from the parks was sent over- but, always worth a look, IMO!

Also try The Disney Store- they've been having some great deals lately!

Have a great time at WDW!!

Like the previous said, it can really be hit or miss. One thing to consider is that if you want park themed items, you will only find Disneyland stuff there. They do not have WDW items. Of course, if you are just looking for character stuff, then you should be ok.

Have a wonderful trip!

ETA: I misread where you were planning on shopping. I thought it was the outlet store, not the actual Disney Store. You will not find park clothing in the Disney Stores (that I know of). You will find it at the outlet stores though.

Thanks all for the quick responses. wow!

well I do want DL stuff, since I'll be a Californian in FL :)

Anything Disney has to be a hit :) well almost anything.
I must admit when I spoke to them on the phone it did sound a bit quiet there.

who knows. :confused3

We've been several times, and I agree, it is hit or miss. Sometimes I was able to find things for everyone in my family, other times the season of clothing available was "off" from the current season (from their bringing over items from Disney that didn't sell in the parks). Yes, there are many things there from DL, including shirts I'd paid full price for in the parks only a few months prior.

If you get a chance to post before you leave for WDW, let us know what type of stock they currently have. We're headed through on the 15th and might stop in if they have some good t-shirts.

Like the others said, it is hit or miss. A lot of the adult shirts are size S or M. It's hard to find a L or XL.

Will do :)

I'll also try and sneak in a few pics from my camera phone :thumbsup2

You can find some great deals there if you take the time to look through everything. Call to find out when they are getting a new delivery and visit a few days after that.

If you are into pin trading at the Park, buy some pins at the Character Warehouse. They are cheaper and are accepted as trader pins.

Also, print this out and save 10% off your entire purchase.

we were just talking about this place. we are planing on trying to go but dont know what time they open and close we eather want to go first thing in the morrning our first day in cali or lat night when we get there night before lol

i wish there was a palce to look at like a website of what they had.

There's another permanent store in Pomona off the 60 freeway on Reservoir. I have to say that sometimes they have better deals there and more merchandise. But like Fullerton its a hit or miss too. I met the manager there and she said that there are daily specials and sometimes they dont' even know what merchandise they are getting. There is a website but it only lists locations because like I said, they dont' know what merchandise they are getting.

lol ok so say i know i want to get something that costs 50 bucks in park (a pin book) do you think theres a posibilty id find it there cheaper?
and also Is this the closest one to the harbor? were gona take a cab to the place hoping the cab will know how to get there and not be to much (im excpecting more then last time for cabs becouse of gas prices)
should i have the cab wait out side for us or just call for another one?
LOl sorry to hijack thread just wondering i know before i said id have it wait to another but with prices even higher..ya just wonder.

I hope to find a few things like shirts or soemthing for gifts too for family and not have to get them in the park

There is no guarantee that what you want to buy in the park will be at the store. It's a real gamble to not buy something you love at the park to wait and see if it shows up at DCW. Additionally, the selection at DCW seems to be mostly items that were not popular at the park. To put it plainly--ugly stuff. So if what you like at the park is some insanely beautiful Tink figurine that everyone is buying, that you are not going to find it at DCW. And on that note, I'd just like to point out that I've never found any figurines at the DCW that used to be near me.

However, I once found a storybook Beauty and the Beast snow globe priced $50 at the park for $25 at the DCW. The discounts are good, but it is EXTREMELY unlikely you'll find what you're looking for.

Hmm might have to check the one in Pomona, like I said I'm taking my 3 DD's 8 and 6 year old twins. they are girls they would find just about anything that has a disney logo on it. lol even if it was a Disney paper bag or those napkins. LOL when they come home they play DLR with the maps from our trips. LOL

I wish I was that young and simple again.

As noted above, Fullerton is a hit or miss. Mostly miss for me, I used to go often when I lived in Calif. I now am in Orlando, and have found a TON of things at the Premium outlet Character Shop. Every once in awhile they will pop up with D-Land resort merchandise.
Good Luck either way :-)

I visited the Fullerton Character Warehouse last week. While I found a few things, I was a bit disappointed. I had visited a traveling Character Warehouse near my office in Virginia a few years ago and bought a ton! I likened the Fullerton store to a thrift shop atmosphere. There were a lot of holiday & 2007 items, small sizes on the clothes, and just plain odd stuff that didnt sell well. If you normally wear between extra-small and medium (and are colorblind, LOL), you will find quite a bit (although not always the most stylish stuff). You are not likely to find popular items in a variety of sizes. However, the prices are outstanding. I picked up a few hooded sweatshirts normally priced at $56 for only $15 each. We also found some great pajamas and lounge pants. You are not likely to find items at this store that are currently being sold at the resort. That being said, on a bad day, you may spend more on the cab fare than in the store itself. If you have a car, its definitely worth the trip up Harbor.

Thanks Tina,

your input has me prepared for the worse lol.

I didn't get to go today, I'm actually at work on the 4th  but someone has to keep this county safe :) glad it's not me :rotfl:

now i'm wondering if I should go to the one in Pomona instead?
my thinking is that since Fullerton is close to DLR (well relatively)

I might stand a better chance at a half way decent selection if I go to the one furthest away from DLR.

any thoughts folks?

You can also take the city bus...it's quite a bit cheaper...kids six and under are free with fare paying adult. It's the #43 bus from DLR. It's about a 23 minute bus ride.
