Hi! I just went back to school last summer as a 32 year old. I graduate May 2007 with my Associates in Liberal Arts and then I transfer to the University of North Texas to major in Music Performance (piano & clarinet). I just recently found out about the Disney CP program and would love to get into it one semester.

Anyways, I was just curious to see if there were any other older college students here like me. Give me a shout if you're out there!

I am currently not a student, but I returned to college when i was 36. Attended for two yrs and earned an A A Degree. Thinking about returning for BA Degree but dont think i can afford it, attend school and work full time. But i would love too.

I'm 40 graduating this December 2006 with a BA in Political Science. I am applying for the WDW college program thanks to a Guest Services Manager at POP Century who thought I would really like the program. Then it is off to graduate school at Gallaudet University.

I am 28 and i am just finishing up the last of my pre reqs for the nursing program.

I'm 31 and am about 3 semesters away from my BA in history and then on (hopefully) for my MLS

34 Years young here, and just finally contemplating returning and getting an RN in the Spring!!! Feels good to feed the brain! :cool1:

I am 37 years old and I am a college student. I STARTED college in 2004, and I am only a part time student, so it will be a long time before I graduate.

I am currently enrolled in a 2 year college but hopefully I will transfer to a 4 year college as a junior.

I will be in my mid to late 40's before I graduate!!!!

Thank you so much for your replies everyone! It does my heart good to know I'm not alone. . .it's never too late to go back and get that degree! :cool1:

55 here and am signing up for a certificate program. If I like it I'm going to seriously think of returning to college. I'd like my degree before my social security check. It's been a long time since I was in a classroom.

39 and thinking about returning.. or starting. I don't know where to start tho?

I've been doing a lot of reading on it and the best piece of advice I found is to start with a subject that you're really interested in and have some knowledge about. I thought that was a good idea.

Thanks! I too have been researching. It seems so hard for some reason- to get the ball rolling... where and what and all that!

I am waiting for the approval of my company to approve the certificate courses I am interested in. You have to be there a year before they will pay and my year will not be up until November. Once I do that, I'm going to officially sign up for the course and at that point, since it is with Cornell University, I will have official access to a coordinator at the college and am planning on seeing them and speaking with them on what is th next step. I wil say every professor I've spoken with during my son's college search has told me not to hold back but to do it, they are thrilled to see us older students in the classroom. We actually want to be there and do the homework LOL

I am lucky my process is easy at work to sign up, its all done online and is a breeze. I just need to find a school and course to start with. I HAVE NO clue what I want to persue!

Late bloomer here too. Mid-30's & ready to take full time classes starting this spring while working full time!

Having a flexible work schedule, no children & military benefits that will expire...the time has come.
The tough part is getting started (for me). I attended a college days at the local university last fall...gosh did I feel weird. The university was swarming with young college students & even dealing with the admissions office was a bit awkward. A phone call at the house "Can we talk to the parents of...." :confused3

Thanks for taking the time to read the application/information about ME.
Off to another institution that will not lump me up with the crowd, but work with me to make the right choices.

I still have not been able to answer the question "What do you want to be when you grow up...." So I will be taking classes that interest me, working for a degree in political science.

I really do not think a degree will catapult my current earnings..it's more like expanding the mind.

I'm turning 32 tomorrow and I just started my first semester at a two year college. I'm doing my pre-reqc's for Radiology. Hopefully I'll get accepted into the RT program after I've done the basics. They only accept 20 people each spring semster. ekkk.

I actually like being in class with all the youngin's. They make me feel young!! I had my first AP! Lec exam and did pretty bad (a 74). But when compair to the rest of the class I did pretty well :lmao: :lmao: My brain isn't used to all of this studing. Thank god the professor will drop your losest test grade if you show up to every class!!

wish me luck

Tikily good luck to you. I'm still waiting on my approval but my boss has been out so I'm giving it time.

We should keep this thread going to give us all support.
