Any October travelers? Anyone interested in Photopass?

I haven't noticed anyone commenting on October 2009 trips. We're thinking of going on Columbus Day, and hopefully the parks would clear out nicely for the following week. Is Disneyland open late on Columbus Day? Are the parks crowded that day?

Has anyone started an October photopass? I might do so for the week of October 12 - 19th or so, if I can get 5 others in it. I did successfully organize a photopass in September of 2008 with 4 others. If you're interested to join in, let me know via PM.

Also - What can we expect in the parks for crowds when we are used to quiet early-mid Novembers and more crowds in Sept. than it was in Nov.??

I think it should be a good time to go. Will all the Halloween Decorations be up? I sort of wished we could see the Haunted Mansion without the holiday theme, since our kids have never seen the original one but I'm pretty sure by the 12th things will be all ready for Halloween.

We would be interested in doing this. We were gonna go October 11-18, but now we are going October 18-24 and staying at HOJO. We did a photopass share for our trip in December 2007 and it worked out great!! So count us in!
