Because it's a traffic saver, it's a time saver.
As you head south on the 429 off the Turnpike most of the vehicles traveling with you get off at the first exit which is CR 535/Winter Garden-Vineland Road. That's where civilization currently ends because after that the toll road pretty much ventures into virgin territory of farms and orange groves. So there is very little traffic all the way to Mouseland.
