Hi, just checking in and wondering if any new resale terms have been added this year?(can't rent out points etc) I've been saving up and looking at possibly getting either a 100-150pt HHI or SSR contract. I just don't want to buy if I can't rent out points I can't use in the future. This will mostly be for family trips since apparently they all loved these two resorts-and so did I!

Here's my other question, I own at BWV. So to keep things simple should I buy at the same resort? Since Saratoga is pretty easy to get at any time. How hard is it to keep track of different contracts with the same use year? In your opinion....

Same UY with different resorts? Easy. You can combine them easily at 7 months out for a single night. You can only use the points from the specific resort at 11 months out.

Nothing new about renting, but there was information printed in the new Vacation Planner on Page 7.

If you get the same UY and title things the same way, it will be all one membership and its pretty easy to use points together.

If they are different resorts, then the only limitation is that you can't use them combined until 7 months--prior to that, you can only use the points at their own resort. BWV points would only be for BWV and SSR would be only for SSR.

It's only when you get a different UY that things get tricky.

As far as other restrictions, Disney can do anything they want in terms of restrictions as long as it doesn't violate the POS--to be honest, I am not sure exactly the language in terms of renting, but I believe (and someone with more knowledge will correct me), there is something about it in the POS so whatever guidelines are in there, would carry through for anyone.

IMO, though, if you have to count on renting out points, I might re-evalute how many extra you buy.

Good luck!

It seems like BWV and HHI are in more demand than SSR is on the rental market.

Thanks Deb & Bill! You made that easy to understand.

Sandisw - Thanks for the info on the new rental language in the book. I'm counting on being able to rent out points when I won't be using them. Like next year the plan is to take more beach trips so I may only use 100-200 points for the year at Disney.

Quinnc- I noticed tons of SSR contracts and figured it was because it was such a big resort.
