No pics but we were by there in Dec via ferry and they were coming along pretty quick. Seen ALOT of construction folks hard at it, roofing, siding and pouring footers for placement as well as the decks.

We took the ferry up to OKW from SSR on 1/7, and it looked like the treehouses closest to the water were complete on the outside, including siding and decks. When we drove along the road, we did see them bringing in some more sections, so they obviously aren't all constructed yet.

Does anyone know, were the interiors completed (paint, carpet, etc.) prior to the sections being lifted in place?

Is there an aerial view/map of the treehouse villas anywhere? I would love to see the total layout and how close it is to SSR.

I took the boat from Port Orleans on Fri. and the ones I saw closest to the river had new siding but the interiors werent complete-you could see boxes etc through the windows. The driver said they should be ready for late this summer. I would love to stay there-wonder how many points?

This is a view of the old treehouses, but you get to see the area they are being built in. You can zoom in or out, drag it, go to higher aerial view, map view. It's pretty cool. First, close that info section on the left to get a bigger area of the map showing.

Cheers for that tjkraz, looks a lot closer than I imagined for some reason. We'll be more than happy to walk from there to DTD - let alone from the 'main area', which I still don't think is that far away, especially after being stuck at the very end of a BWV corridor on our last stay...

We were staying at SSR grandstand section and I wanted to see if we could walk there, but I wasn't sure how to get there except by crossing the golf course, and there always seemed to be people playing golf.

Does anyone know if they will be clearing out any of the landscaping. I know alot of it is protected. At night it seems a little creepy to me. I feel like "Jason" is out in the woods. I know, I am weird.

Thanks ont/ohana for the pictures!! We saw the crane working when we were there late last month but didn't take any pictures. It was exciting to see though, we can't wait to try out a THV.

Help, please! My home resort is SSR. I currently have a reservation for a 2BDR for the end of June. I thought that I read that we could reserve the THVs on February 8. Is that true and will I be able to convert my current reservation to the THVs? Thanks!

Yes, you can call on Feb. 8th and try to change over to a THV. Good luck! You won't be the only one doing this!
