Any new news on the Grand Floridian Villas

We are gong to WDW in December and are holding out hope to stay here. I've read that they may be open in the fall - is there any chance that we would be able to buy points from somewhere (like Dave's) for a December stay if they are open in the fall?

No opening date has been announced. They have also not announced when points will go on sale. They still have a long way to go, I don't know if it will be open by December. Point rental would be difficult when it first opens, only a small number of points rooms are available when it first goes on sale. You may have a better chance through CRO.
