Any need to request a private table for family of 7?

We are booked on the Disney Magic with our 5 kiddos, two who will have birthdays we are celebrating at the time. I was looking at the special requests online and it asked about table preference. As a family of 7 would we possibly be seated with additional people? We would prefer to be at a private table, but not sure if they would even add additional passengers with the size of our family so thought I would ask. Thanks in advance!

Typically, the largest table is an 8 top, except in cases where people have requested larger. I'd hazard a guess that you'll have your own table (without asking).

Highly doubtful, don't think they have tables much bigger than 8. But It won't hurt to still put it down.

I'll be traveling with 9 in my family next April. Based on your post it sounds like we would be able to get a table big enough to accommodate even though the usual max is 8. Am I reading that correctly?

You can always request it. Generally, if you all are on linked reservations, they will set one table up for all of you, but it's best to add the request to your reservation(s). It's possible that they will split up large parties, if necessary, into separate tables, but they usually will all be in the same server's section.

We had 11 or 12 - from a bunch of reservations on a Panama Canal cruise. There were chairs unused at the end of the table. And we were all late bookers in GTY cabins.

I feel I see at least one large family most cruises.

With one request option allowed, if you have nothing else special needed from the list, I would still request it. I really can’t imagine their adding anyone else, though.

Like @auntlynne said, they have no issues seating more than 8. We've done 12 and then 11 on 2 different cruises and I've seen that many together on other sailings when we were a smaller party.
