Any NB'rs here?

Living in ON but from Saint John..I have a question

Just how bad is the snow right now? I was going to come for March break..ours starts this weekend but the weather is talking me out of it :)

the snow is not too bad right now, i think next week is gonna be nice and warm too, 3 days are above 0, and no snow is being called for, but there is some on the ground...its still nice though, cause temps are like +5, which is helpin it melt..

Moncton as well.

Leaving for Bangor in August for yet another trip to Disney

Our next trip in in August as well. Flying from Bangor too.

So why do you go to Disney during the summer months? Easier for school kids? I guess my thought is the weather is pretty good in NB in the summer I would rather go to get away from the cold? :cool1:

We like the summer for a few different reasons. There are teachers in the family so we can go longer. Guaranteed of warm weather. Don't get depressed coming back to a snowstorm. :goodvibes

We are from Rothesay . We are going in Aug with 4/3 and Christmas / Newyears for the first time ever. We love Disney.

We are going to May and I am really going to enjoy not having to worry about winter jackets for Portland and not worry about winter weather to drive in. Really it was about schedules for when we booked...and next year we will prob go to there in Jan/Feb ..but this year I am looking forward to May.

We are from Saint John! We are going to Disney the first week of Dec staying at CSR can't wait!! We went back in June on our honeymoon...it was far too hot lol won't go in the summer months again. Our first time was in Sept 2006 (when DH proposed) even that was too hot.

Living in SJ helps me understand why you find Florida hot. ;) :rotfl2:

Hello my neighbours! Im in DIeppe! Ok, ok, Moncton. ;)
We went last Dec, mid way, and as much as we LOVED it we got REALLY home sick. We didnt understand it. The weather was beautiful, it was the week before Christmas, we were in DISNEY WORLD!! But I think its because we saw so many big families there with the grandparents and stuff. Im really close with my parents, so I got them hooked and they are coming this NOV...first week of December!! YAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!
WE both just started saving. I have all the costs figured out for Contemp resort, dlx dp, limos to and from airport, fireworks cruise at Epcot, driving to the states and stays... everything. Start saving now and it makes it a lot easier to have the 'dream' vacation. I wanted to do this for my parents, they have never flewn anywhere, never been down south. So by me planning everything gives them a dream vacation they'd never even thought they could afford. Ok, getting way too excited just thinking about it!!
My ds starts kindergarten this year and Im hoping it's not a big deal taking him out for a week in Dec. Im a stay at home mom and I know we will do what needs to be done for homework and studies. We have car rides and plane rides.

YAY! SO excited! If anybody has any questions for budgeting and luxuries on a dime, let me know!! We are a one income family, my parents have never gone away, and I can make it happen for us, Im sure I can help you all out.
I don't mind sharing my resources (many have come from this website!!!! )

Ok, 8 months to go!!! ;)

Hello from the Miramichi :goodvibes We just got back from a land/sea vacation. And, we are all sick this week :sad1: I think it was a shock to the system to go from the Bahamas - Castaway Cay rocks - to snow and ice. Can't wait for next year to do it all over again :yay:

so.....is the cruise worth it? Better than WDW?

How many days did you go for on the cruise? Anyone else ever try the cruise? Cheaper or more?

100% worth it. We loved it. We made up our own land/sea vacation and took advantage of the 4/3 deal ( we stayed 5), plus the $200 card. We are also DVC members, so I used my points for the cruise, then stayed 1 more night at the Boardwalk. The only thing my husband didn't like was the packing and unpacking. Next time, hopefully next year since I already booked a 7 night Eastern Carribean cruise while I was on the ship, We will go down on Tuesday and spend a few days at the parks, then cruise from Saturday to Saturday, and go home right from the ship. Less back and forth. We loved the 3 day and it was a great way to check it out, but it wasn't long enough for me. I was so terrified that I would get sea sick or just not like it, but it was wonderful. :)

Hampton area here!
Just got back from WDW on the 8th.
Stayed off site and had a blast:cool1:

Been to WDW Aug/06, Aug/08 hoping Aug/09

Call me cheap. The free dining plan is a big draw for us. Booked for 14 days in August we could save over $2,400 for food this trip.

My DW takes 5 weeks from work in August and it the kids don't miss school.

Works all the way around.
