Any Minnesota property owners out there?

We paid our property tax using a personal check this year. *gasp* LOL

We mailed it out on the 10th and the check hasn't cleared yet. This is a little worrying........
has anyone here paid via check this year and if so how long did it take for it to debit from your account?

I would call the county and check on it. Since it is a heavy mail time for them, they may not have processed your check yet but they probably stamped the envelop for date of receipt at least.

I tried looking up a number to call but never really found one that sounded like somewhere that would have any answers. LOL
I think you're right though...they probably have it with the date at least post marked and it's just waiting to be processed. It's just so odd for it to take this long but like I said the last few years we've paid online. Maybe this is the norm for payment by mail.

That information would be handled most likely by the county assessor's office, if not, they will be able to direct you to the proper department.
