Any markets on the premises?

I was thinking it would be nice to purchase some bottled water at a market nearby and perhaps some stuff for breakfast. We are on the Dining Plan and it includes one table service, 1 quick service and 1 snack, per person, per day

So breakfast isn't covered and I thought it might be nice to purchase a small amt of groceries somewhere, and water too

I have never been to Disneyworld. Is there any location on the property or do we have to leave the property? Since we won't have a rental car, would we take a taxi if we had to leave to go to a local grocery store? unless of course there is someplace near one of the Theme Parks??

Many of us have used local grocery delivery services. I got a delivery from Gooding's (www.gooding.com), a local supermarket that also delivers. Others here have reported using two different stand-alone delivery services, www.wegoshop.com and www.gardengrocer.com; these places shop for you wherever you want them to.

I can only speak of my Gooding's experience -- $50 minimum, $10 flat rate delivery fee. You don't need to schedule your Gooding's delivery, because thet deliver to Bell Services (BS), not to you. So you don't have to wait around hoping they deliver when they say they will, you're free to go out and have fun. BS will call you, and if you're not in they'll leave a message and store your stuff for you, even keeping the cold stuff cold. VERY convenient!

Yes, simply visit one of the websites and place your order.

I have used wegoshop twice, October 05 and April 06 both times I had good service. They are a "shopping service" so when you put your list together they will determine the best market for the itmes you selected. They also used some coupons and the grocery store discount card to help save me $$. There is a minimum order and a shopping fee, I also tipped.

Like Cleverocks I had my order shipped to bell services and did not have to accept it personally. I would imagine if I were ordering lunchmeat, fruits etc I would probably want to be present to check out those items.

If your only shipping non-perishables you could ship a package to your self c/o your resort.

The Hess stations located on property are pretty good for picking up things like water, milk, snacks (typical convenience store stuff).

We were at the Yacht Club last year and used the one at the corner of Buena Vista and Epcot Resorts Blvd. a few times.

We also found that we could buy most things like bread and snacks at the Beach Club Marketplace. Their prices were only slightly higher than a supermarket (well worth the convenience).

We have also used the Goodings Supermarket in the Crossroads Shopping Center and the nearby Winn Dixie. Both are really nice and you can find just about anything you're looking for. Of course, you do have to have a car or hire a taxi.

Like I said, we found the Beach Club Marketplace and the Screen Door General Store (at the Boardwalk) more than adequate for us (and we have teen boys...it takes A LOT of snacks!).
