My parents are joining us, a last-minute decision, on our trip Jan.22-29. I called WDW dining to add them to my CRT lunch reservation, but they said there was no room. What kind of luck has anyone had with adding to a PS at the park? It's only for two more people.

Anytime I have tried to add to my party, if it makes my party more than 4 they make me cancel one and rebook with the new number of people. Of course I always try to rebook first then cancel.

Hi, I had a similar problem last April at the Storybook Princess Breakfast at Akershus. I had forgotten to make a reservation for my son because he was under 3 and I wasn't paying for him. It dawned on me about 11pm the night before the PS that I probably should have had a ressie for him as well. Disney dining was closed, so I called the front desk at the Poly and asked them. The CM I spoke to said that yes, he did need a reservation, but added that "they would not turn him away". I showed up the next morning and they sat us no problem and didn't blink an eye when I gave the amount of people. I would say to just show up and see what happens. It's possible they will have some no shows that day anyway. Worse case scenario--you go to luch and meet your parents after. :grouphug: But, I would definately give it a try! Good Luck!

A similar situation happened to me in December when our party increased from 4 to 5 at the last minute. I DID have luck at the podium at all of my PS's...including CRT, Cape May breakfast, Alfredo's and Les Chefs. I would think it depends on the crowd at the time and if you're willing to wait? Good luck!

The most important thing to consider here is the table size break point. What I mean is there are 2-tops, 4-tops, 5/6-tops, and some 7/8-tops. Very few places have larger single tables, although I know Chef Mickey's has some large round tables that can fit 10 ppl. Looking at the mix of tables, you must realize that the majority of most places will be a mixture or 2 and 4 top tables, some 5/6 tops and fewer larger tables. Going from a party of 3 to a party of 4 is a no brainer, same table. But once you cross over from the 4-top into the larger size is where most problems occur. If you cannot have the PS corrected, then I would suggest you arrive earlier than expected (entire party) and advise the podium, with a little patience I would bet that they will be able to accommodate any reasonable size change.
