Any learning to drive horror stories? I have a funny one to share.

Another friend just told me that her daughter is learning to drive. She can't seem to remember to straighten out the wheel after making a turn, so they just keep turning and tend to drive up into peoples yards.

My mother's fiance said his cousin ran into the side of the chicken house on grandpa's farm when he was learning to drive.

Our neighbor told my son not to feel bad about the garage door. His son decided to try to drive at 13 and completely took the garage door down when he drove through it. My DS felt better and said at least he waited until he had a permit.

Our new door should arrive this afternoon. I'm glad because we might get more snow Friday night and that would be a mess!

My sister didn't even had her learner's permit, she was still taking Driver's Ed and her teacher wanted her to practice parking. So, there she is with her teacher in a town parking lot when she sees the boy she has a huge crush on. They wave to one another and while he watches her, she begins to show off and accidentally hits the accelator instead of the break and plows into the parked car in front of her. Not only was she super embarrassed that her "crush" witnessed the whole thing, it turns out she had run into the Police Chief's personal car! She still hasn't lived that one down.

I don't really have any great stories to share. I did the usual things like get the brake confused with the gas pedal and turning without slowing down, etc. but thankfully I never caused an accident while learning to drive. Now after I learned to drive...well that is a different story...
