Any Interest in a ABC ROLODEX and -SURPRISE swap Idea in post 40

can it be used on a sizzix? I have a sizzix but have hardly ever used the darn thing. now that I have my cricut I never use the sizzix I thought about getting rid of it with all my dies.

I think I would play again. I love mine. It sits by my computer with web site info in it. i always wanted to do a bigger one for recipies, maybe that could be a swap for another time.

can you use the Boss Kut Rolodex die in the cuttlebug machine?
Jennifer

You might be able to, the bosskut is thin like the cuttlebug dies. I can use the bosskut really well in the Big Kick. I had to schim it to use it in the Side Kick.( Other bosskuts that I bought that were smaller.) I really love my Big Kick. I bought a couple of the Cuttlebug cut and emboss sets and it works very well in the Big kick..:thumbsup2

I know you can use the boss cut with a shim on the Sizzix but not the side kick (die is to wide) not sure about the cuttle bug.

Jennifer, I have the die if you want to borrow it and try it.

For the recipe swaps we have been doing, the recipes are 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". I have enough recipes now that I have been thinking I need dividers for categories. I hadn't thought of doing a swap, but that might be a good idea. I know several of our swappers have full books besides me. I think you are actually talking about recipe cards, but you are making me think here. I think I'll post a separate interest thread and maybe we can include it in the Disney Recipe Swap that I still need to get put on the calendar. I'm thinking it will start April 1st.

Can I just use rolodex cards? (flying my Newbie Flag again)

A lot of the cards were made with plain cardstock and then we played pass the rolodex punch for the holes. Those of us poor neglected souls without bugs just had to make do.

Hmmm..this is intriguing. How does it work? You pick or get assigned a letter and then make 26?

What are the info cards?

Yes - you pick your letter and make 26 of them. The info card you would make as many as whoever was in that section of the swap.

So if we have 26 Rolodex participants and 35 info cards. You would make 26 Rolodex letters and 35 info cards. Not everyone will want both.

The info cards that we made last year were as plain or as fancy as you'd like them to be. These are great to keep handy for swaps as well as sending out little notes of encouragement or just sending someone a hello in the mail.

On the card we put a small avatar picture that represents you. As well as your
Real Name
Dis Name
Mailing Address
Birthday, Phone number as well ur email address were optional.

What we then did was take Rolodex cards and cover them then decorated them. the info cards were just business size cards of ur choice.

I have the small roladex cards in a craftrobo file if anyone needs it. I just used regular business cards for the info in the past.

I just got a stampin up punch that kind of looks like the rolodex punch. Does anyone else have it? Is it the right one?

I will be hosting this swap along with the Surprise swap :) Are ya all ready for some surprises :)

I was thinking about the surprise swap and how to "shake things up a bit" The idea I keep going back to is .. When each person signs up they just say how many groups they want to be in. When I swap them out I will random draw you the same number back so you will NOT get one of your own back *unless you want one of course*

What do you all think of that idea?
