I was thinking of surprising DS 6 & DH with the luau in April over springbreak for the 6 pm showing. Any ideas or recommendations. What's the experience like, the food, kid friendly, do you get a family photo ? We recently did Dine with Shamu my family enjoyed it so I was thinking of surprising them. Please any ideas ?? :surfweb:

We did the luau in May 2005 and my two sons loved it. At the time they were 5 and 9. We booked it very early and were seated in the very front. I think that helped with the experience. You sit at a long table with other people, it wasn't just our family at the table. From what I remember they serve the food in the middle of the table and you pass it along. I recall the food being very good. After the show the performers are outside to take pictures. My family dressed in our flowered shirts and they give you lei's to wear. They also take your picture before you go in. My husband was called up during the show to play the big drums, it was quite funny! I would definitely recommend it. It seemed to hold my sons' attention and that is hard to do.

Those are my main priorities are happy DH who loves to eat & somehow keep DS (6) interested, then I can relax & enjoy the experience ! Thanks, I think we'll try it out !
