Any ideas of crowds for Fantasmic mid June?

We normally go in September when there are very small crowds so I have no experience with busy season. Planning a trip right after school gets out (week of June 18). I am debating between doing the Fantasmic dinner package to get guaranteed seats or choosing a more fun restaurant (Sci-Fi). I didn't want to use my FP for Fantasmic. Do you think it's doable to get seats for Fantasmic without having to get there an hour early to save them? We can go either the Tues or the Wed night.

Here is what we want to get in - all in the space of a late afternoon/evening - is it even possible?
Muppets, TSMM (are lines better now that it's expanded? Or is this a mandatory FP?), B&TB, Frozen Singalong (FP for this?), VotLM, Indy stunt show. We could skip Muppets, B&TB and Indy. I'm hoping everyone else will want to be doing Stars Wars stuff so these attractions would be less crowded. Little kids so no "thrill" rides like ToT or RnRC. We'll be in a diff park in the morning so all my FPs will be used at that park. Can't get anything for DHS until all the others are used up.

Ideally we use FP for TSMM and then immediately grab another for Frozen and then another for something else, etc. Maybe there would still be FP left for Fantasmic?

Thanks for advice.

You don't have to book 3 FPs for Park#1. Book 1 or 2 and as soon as you enter the FP line for ride #1, go to the "+" on the app and book FP for DHS. That way you can book TSMM well before you finish up at Park#1.
See the FP FAQ ADDENDUM Sticky at the top of the FP subforum.

It's difficult to gauge how busy Fantasmic will be. On New Year's Day this year, there was only 1 Fant and the amphitheater wasn't full. In past years, Fant had 3 showings on NY's Day with standing-room only crowds. So, try for a Fant FP as your 4th or 5th FP of the day.

Thanksgiving week this past year for Fantasmic! was standing room only. We were in the "stand only" part of the crowd - meaning towards the end of the line. We had awful viewing and I will never do it again. Whatever you do, have a plan! Get there early, book a fast pass or dining package. We tried to make it from the Jingle show to the Fantasmic! show - it was a complete fail on my part. Lesson learned...

Our trips are always in the summer. Yes, it's absolutely doable to get seats for Fantasmic without having to be an hour early, it just depends on where you want to sit. If you want your pick of the litter, an hour early is a good idea. Otherwise, 30-40 minutes should be OK.

Muppets never has a line, summer included. That's a walk up. TSMM is probably a good idea for FP+, though the line gets really short right at park close. Beauty is a packed show, but you can get in. Just keep in mind how long the show is.

We generally visit in early June and prefer to go to DHS on nights when Fantasmic is performed twice. We always hit the late show and try to arrive about 10 minutes before showtime to find really good seats. In fact, it's been years since we've found the theater much more than half full as the vast majority of guests prefer the early version.

The line for Toy Story gets really short while the early Fantasmic show is underway. We've often been able to ride 4 times during the last hour of operation and still get to the amphitheater in plenty of time for the show. Just keep in mind that the posted wait time on the ride is intentionally inflated to discourage late evening riders.

Enjoy your trip.

Just a hunch, but I'm guessing Fantasmic this summer will draw somewhat lower crowds than in years past. The fresh opening of Pandora, ROL, and new MK fireworks will be bigger draws. I'm not up to speed on the Star Wars fireworks, but if that continues then it too will help reduce Fantasmic crowds. I'm not saying you can stroll in at showtime, but it should make it that much easier to snag FPs on the same day.
