My brother just said we could take his kids! I just ordered a stuffed animal owl and will send them an owl with a letter telling them about the trip. Any ideas about a cool way to write the letter? They are 12 and 15, so I don't want to make it too little kiddish. They both like Harry Potter - the 15 year old loves Harry Potter. We are going in April - I'm sending the owl and letter in time for Christmas.

This is what we did! We announced our trip on my daughter's 11th birthday and tied the weighted letter to a white balloon with an owl drawn on it. SO AWESOME.

What did you write in the letter? Or did you order one? I don't want to order one but type one up myself. (We're spending enough on the trip so I can't spend more on the letter! Also, I need to get the letter to them in time for Christmas and we're going to be on vacation soon ourselves. (In Universal - so I'll pick up a couple maps to include).

You could always send it by 'Muggle Post' like Molly Weasley and put a whole mess of 'stamps' on the envelope.
