Any ideas about where to cheaply get a box for shipping?

I usually reuse Amazon boxes, but I need a bigger box than I have and I have no idea where to get it. I looked in Staples, and boy was it expensive!

Look on Craigslist or Freecycle. You can also put up your own ad. People are constantly cycling through boxes because of moves and whatnot. You'd probably be able to find something quickly.

I've never paid for a box, but I know Home Depot also carries them. No idea if they are expensive or not.

Most stores have a recyclable bin they throw boxes in...turn them inside out and they look like new. Ask if you want, but we've never had a problem getting them. Larger stores like Walmart have box compactor I think.

Do you have a BJs wholesale club or place like that near you?? Often they have bins with large boxes you can help yourself to, but you never really know what kind you will find. It's a hit or miss type thing.

Thank you...I will try those things. Maybe freecycle would work. I will try tonight.

Our local supermarket keeps boxes in the front until 630 in the morning; also I work in an office and we save our boxes (from our copy machine paper). Do you know anyone who works in a supermarket or an office?

Check your local grocery store or mass merchandiser - they often have an area or day that they put out boxes for people to take.
