Any idea when we can buy WDW annual passes?

My wife called yesterday. On hold for about 30 minutes. All they wanted to ensure is that her pass expired after March 16. She took the refund last year.

The wait time is now 30 days for a return call with a decision. I have no idea what the decision is based on, other than verifying that the dates are correct.

I can do everything I want to do at Universal in a single day (those single rider lines are handy as heck) so that’s not much of a vacation
We're in the same boat. The first time we went, we bought a two day ticket. We ended up doing everything the first day. We went back to do some of it again on the next day, grabbed lunch at Toothsome and then headed over to Disney Springs for the rest of the day. This last trip we got everything done by about 2:00 in one day. We wouldn't want to go there for more than 1 day at least until Epic Universe opens.

I think Universal Studios offers more currently with their AP pricing and all of the holidays they continue to be creative with.
That is why locals are so happy with their choice / loyalty to Universal.

It is frustrating that if you walked, you get more flexibility now than if you didn't. We didn't cancel our passes. They just expired. In a normal year, I would have let a gap happen and then purchase a new pass so we could go May 2021-May 2022. That's not an option for me -- I can call and ask again, but was told no by passholder services -- but if I'd taken a refund, I could be purchasing a voucher now and activate it in May. Doesn't feel very fair.

I feel the same way, just for a slightly different reason. Our passes would have expired during the closure, but we renewed them thinking we’d be able to go once the parks reopened. However, we’re Canadian and the border is closed. If we’d known that the border would still be closed a year later, we definitely would have gotten a refund rather than the extension. Our current expiry date is October 2021, thanks to the extension, but who knows if we’ll be able to get across the border before then. Would have been much better to have gotten the refund and then bought new AP vouchers to activate once the border opens.

Very frustrating, and I really feel like those of us who renewed in good faith and let Disney keep our money are getting shafted.

We take the time to enjoy and return for more enjoyment.
Disney Resorts require the same investment in getting to know comparisons.
I am kinda bored with the Cavalcades and Disney construction delays.
I admit to enjoying both and have AP for both . .. trying to stay on topic !
Discussing Annual Pass options Disney property...
Yup, the Universal Mardi Gras usually has a bunch of famous bands, I would say more relevant than the Epcot Food and Wine bands. I think the year before PitBull was there and Diana Ross was supposed to be there last year.

I like the Harry Potter area, I can go there every day.
And the Men and Black game is just as good as Toy Story Mania and blows Buzz Lightyear away.

City Walk is also nicer because it's right next to the park as opposed to Disney Spring being far away from the park.

And the AP price is 1/3 of the Disney AP for out of state.

If you take advantage of the NBC Media Center then Universal AP is almost a no brainer to get assuming you get down to Orlando alot.

I think Disney is treating all of us who are unable to get the AP pass or have been shafted like Hobos

Renewed or were you allowed to purchase a NEW voucher for activation at the Park?

Renewed. Will activate when we arrive in October. They expired last month or this month before Disney extended them until this July.

out of curiosity - I'm Canadian too, before all this pandemic happened, what did a passholder cost for a Canadian?

I called two weeks ago to get our Fl Resident passes back, they called back today and gave me the go ahead.
I saw online Silver passes were $539 a piece, but guess there was a price hike to $575 each.
I told my husband the money we saved cancelling last year due to Covid was just given right back. :smooth:

I got the call today that we were eligible to buy new DVC Gold passes! Ours were set to expire last May but got extended until the end of September. The whole experience was really well done. She applied what I had paid towards 6 day hoppers for our Sept 2021 trip and got them linked to MDE. I'm thrilled to have been able to buy a new one as opposed to renewing. Thank you Disney!

Could you share what the cost was? We are waiting for a call. I don't want to be too shocked to hear the price.

$720 each. I'll get a break when I renew next year. I'd already spent $500+ each for the 6 day hoppers.

Glad the process was smooth for you.
All DVC Owners that qualify for perks should be permitted to buy a Gold Annual Pass. Allowing the purchase of Gold Passes under limited circumstances is frustrating.

The online price doesn't include tax. $575 sounds about right after factoring tax
