I have never had it before and yesterday. I am completely regular so I don't know if it is IBS.

I was doing alright but the pain is startihng up again.

I would then go to the ER and tell them to do an ultrasound. There is something wrong and you should always go with you gut feeling that something is wrong. Why are you waiting till morning if you are in pain now??

You know your mom is going to be scream when she finds out your really really sick and didn't do anything about it tonight!!! It's 12:30 here on Cape Cod...give her a call, I'm sure she's home from her concert by now! Then get a ride to the ER!!! How far is the ER...the good one?

My momknows I'm sick. She knows everything and she didn't say anything about an ER.
I am waiting because the pain has subsided and I am feeling better.
The nearest ER is 45 minutes away. If i wake up tomorrow with pain I will call Health Services and ask ifthey have an ultra sound machine.

Norah, I am so sorry to hear you still are feeling so bad. It took the drs over four years to finally diagnose (sp?) me with my gall bladder. Not to say thats what you have, but what you are describing sounds a lot like the attacks I would get. Please go to the ER in the morning. They really need to do an ultrasound. (I needed to get a specialized test as it turns out my stone was in the duct and shaped like a pencil.) I hope you can get some sleep and get taken care of first thing when you wake up!!!!!!!!

I am a float RN between ER & ICU, just reading your post at work tonight. I have a question for you, do you still have your Appendix? The elevated temperature, nausea, and tenderness to the abdomen all point towards a possible Appendicitis. The white count elevates, but it can take awhile to show on the lab work. If you don't seek treatment soon, the appendix could rupture.....causing diffuse pain across the abdomen & the shortness of breath you are describing. PLEASE go to the nearest ER, you need a CT of the abdomen ASAP. Let us know what happens, wish you were near us & could come in to my hospital...we'd take great care of you .

Well I just woke up. Sleeping tends to be the only time where it doesn't hurt.

I am feeling better thismorning. There still is some slight pain but not as badly as yesterday. The pain tends to be all over my torso now and just random pain. Sometimes the pain is in my back. I still have the headache and the nausea.

I guess we will see how today goes. I don't really want to go to a hospital unless it is really necessary.

You should definately get checked out again even if you are starting to feel better. If your appendix has ruptured, the pain can subside. Please get help!

I have to agree with Annie. I had many of the same symptoms that you are having with my appendix. When I went to the doctor she was not sure what was wrong. She would not give me pain meds because she did not want to mask the pain. When it was determined that it was my appendix I was in the OR within two hours. Please go get checked out. Don't keep putting it off. If it is your appendix and it bursts you will be very sick.

I have nowhere to go to get checked out except the hospital.
Yesterday they checked around my appendix and gallbladder so I don't know.
I am really confused

I've vtalked to my mom and I am just going to wait it out since the pain has subsided quite a bit.

I just wish I knew what had been wrong.

Norah, please go get checked out. I know you don't want to wait until you have to go to the nearest ER, which is what may happen if this gets worse.
Danville is only 30 minutes or so away, but remember there isn't much between greencastle and anywhere. Make sure you have a calm driver with a reliable car.

Oops, I missed your lastest post typing this one. I hope it has gone away, although I wish I new what it was also.
