I got the email pin code also and I know the rate for the values is $59, but wondered if anyone has called for a mod or deluxe yet? I just wanted an idea of what they are running to try to talk up a trip sooner than we planned!

Surely someone has called about a deluxe or moderate with the post card pin. Lots of others have taken a look at this post so many more must be interested.

(If I am doing something in violation of the boards by asking this, please let me know. I know I can't give out the PIN code, but thought it was OK to ask about rates)

The code says it is good for August-September, and we were thinking of possibly September. I just wanted a ballpark figure of anytime during that period just to get an idea of what price we would be looking at to make our decision. I know I can call to check for sure, but just thought someone might have booked using it that could give me an idea.

Fall of 2004, to be exact, I remember getting the same rate $59 for a value resort. I called about other resorts, and ended up getting Coronado Springs for $79 (the same rate applied to other moderates). It seems to me that the rates for Deluxes varied, but I don't remember. Again, that was a couple years ago...

I got an e-mail code a couple weeks back and promptly deleted it because I thought we weren't going to go this year. The last (and first!) time we went was back in 2003 when Disney was hurting and offered that fabulous Fairytale package which was pay for 4 days (tickets and room) and get 3 free. I have gotten several codes since then - I'd say at least one a year, maybe more - I have no idea why. If I had to guess, maybe it's because we are NOT frequent Disney visitors and they are trying to entice us back.

Anyway, the reason we are going is that Southwest had a fabulous sale (RT from Manchester NH to MCO of only $109) that I couldn't resist. The e-mail code only mentioned the value resort discount, nothing else. I had read on Mousesavers about the new public code and was planning on trying to use that. I also checked Expedia and saw some, but not all, days during our visit (8/25 - 8/30) were being offered at a discount. When I called CRO, I mentioned that I had a code but had deleted it, and wasn't sure it was good for anything but the values anyway. She looked it up and found it.

Rate I was offered was $170/day for a Woods View at WL based on my e-mail code. :) I did not ask about any other availability.

HTH.
