Any hotwire members buying PHP before end of year?

I am debating whether I should go ahead and take the plunge to order 7 PHPs before the end of the year considering the new ticket structure. When we visit Disney, we do not go to the parks everyday - choosing to have some down time at the pools. So, if we would buy the new tickets, I would probably buy the no-expiration feature - in addition to the park hopper (like to come and go!). Has anyone else decided to grab the Hotwire tickets before the end of the year! Thanks for sharing your strategy!!

I wouldn't - I just looked on Hotwire and a 7 day hopper is $302.XX and a childs is $242.XX. I'd rather spend $322.59 for adult and and get a 10 day non expiration day than a 7 day hopper. My theory is that I don't need to hop if I have more days. Fact: there is only 4 parks so I'd do one a day! I have old pluses from previous trips - and considering I have so many it proves for my family that the water parks just where not that big of deal to us. I figure I'd spend more time at our resort (something we NEVER get a chance to do). The whole hopper thing was great (especially for smaller stays), but I THINK I can do without it!!! Well, I guess I'll find out anyway!!

I did...we only needed the 4 day and a plus...from my understanding, there is no great advantage in price with the new tickets for short stays.

We only do the parks for 4 days, a waterpark on one and a pool day..then we move over to Universal..

I purchased the 7 day PHP - I'd rather err on the side of caution and know that if we do not use all of our days, we can still use the tickets for another time.

Same as KLAIT. We're going to the parks for 4 days and the PHPs are cheaper than the MYW tickets, so we bought the PHPs.

BUT, run the numbers for your situation, because for longer stays, many people are saying that the MYW's are better.

We bought the 7day PHP's for our trip in August 2005. If you want no expiration and park-hopping privilages, it is much cheaper than the MYW tickets.
