We need a minivan from 9/17-9/24. The cheapest I've found with an on airport rental car company was with National at $257.60 using the WWEB product code, and either priceless or ent contract code with the ent coupon code. We'd prefer onsite rental car company because we have a 3 and 5 year old and will need to bring car seats for both. It would be a hassle to lug car seats all the way to an offsite dealer. So, its either bring them and use onsite or don't bring them and pay the extra $100 + fees I've been seeing for car seats. The onsite companies I've seen are alamo, avis, budget, dollar, national, & L&M. Anyone know how I can get this 7 day rental any cheaper?

Try L & M. It's a small rental agency IN the airport, just to the left of Alamo/National.
I put in your dates and came up with a total of $237.88, plus there's a link on their site to some discount coupons you can print out - one would save you another $10 on the total rental. The link is http://www.lmcarrental.net

A few minor drawbacks - if you don't plan to purchase their insurance, you MUST present proof of your own car insurance policy; they assign you a vehicle at the rental counter, you don't get to pick your own; and to complete the rental, you have to go back to the rental counter after you drop off the car.

What is the coupon code you used for that quote for National? I need a minivan for 10 days and your price for a week looks quite reasonable!

Hey Vossjemi, I don't know if this is an option for you but if you could pick the van up from the Car Care Center on the 18th and return it to MCO on the 24th you could get a rate of $206.01.I think you would be able to use DME to get you and your luggage to your hotel on 09/17.

Ok, here is our vacation plan. Land in Orlando...drive to Cape and stay at Ron Jon's 1 night. Go to the pier for 4 day disney cruise. Drive to poly for 2 days and then back to airport. We have 6 people so need a minivan. I waited too long on the 1 way rentals as all companies I have checked with have sold out on the cheap deals. Plus we have 2 young ones..3 and 5 who need car seat and toddler seat so we had to make a decision on whether to rent or bring our own. After talking it over with my husband, he decided it would be more of a hassle to rent 2 vehicles at 2 separate times with all of us waiting for him to turn in and go get the car. He thinks it'll be much more convenient if we just go with the 1 week rental and leave minivan at the pier. But if we do that option, it would be too costly to rent car seats every day, so we will be bringing our own. Since we'll be doing that, we want a dealer on site as who wants to lug car seats all the way to an offsite facility with 2 young kids to keep track of as well (this is our first time traveling with them, so we're already nervous about that)

Anyway, I've never heard of L&M so would be wary of them. Thrifty sounds like a good price but we'd have to go offsite and trying to avoid that. The National deal we got is using the WWEB product rate code (weekly special at $244), and their own contract/coupon code of 5066914/10009123 for a price of $257.60. Plus if we have to pay $10/day to park at the pier, add on $40 to that for a total of $297.60....which is still cheaper than Disney transport for 6 people I guess, plus you can do grocery stops and stop wherever you like. I'm just curious if anyone has seen any cheaper 1 week onsite rentals than this as I'd like to get this as cheap as possible. Also, when booking with National it gave me a conf # but didn't require me to put in my cc #. Is that typical?

I put in your dates for Alamo and got 219 a week. If you have entertainment coupon book, there is a coupon for 25 dollars off for a mini van as well. I was able to book a mini van for 181 for August. Hopefully when August time comes, your rate will be lower.

Weird. I tried Alamo, and with taxes and all it was $297.97 so the $257.60 at National was cheaper. I don't have ent book though. But, National website has ent book coupon code and coupon to print out which I did do.
