Pleazse....

I'm a UK travel agent and my colleague has booked a lovely trip for a British couple wishing to get married in Alberta next April. We have the wedding photographer all booked and ready and the original venue was set at Pyramid lake in April. We've now git the problem that the pyramid lake lodge is closed at that time and the Fairmont won't do a wedding reception unless they stay there for 10 nights! (they want to tour a bit and don't want to be stuck in Jasper for a long length) any suggestions as to alternative settings up near Jasper or venues???

most grateful, am coming that way again myself next august and am sooo looking forward to it - most beautiful spot on earth :goodvibes

Hi,

I'm not anywhere near Jasper, so can't help, but wanted to say good luck and I hope you are successful in rebooking the wedding.

Jasper does not really have any really nice spots for a wedding except the Fairmont and Pyramid. If they were willing to move their venue south a bit I would highly recommend.

For some reason the link does not direct link from this thread so you may have to copy and paste into your search engine.
It is truly one of the most beautiful places to get married in Alberta. It is approximately 12km from Lake Louise which of couse is another breathtaking venue. Starting from Jasper they would have to do a lot more driving unless they are planning to take via rail from there through the mountains.

Hope that helps a little bit!:thumbsup2

I highly recommend checking out www.weddingbells.ca and go to the message boards. It is a canadian site where you can ask all kinds of questions or go into each province and ask for the advice there. I planned a wedding from Alberta to be held in Nova Scotia. I wouldn't have been able to do it without the help of this awesome website.
