Any HC parking near Trails End restaurant?

Hello everyone. I asked this question on the restaurant board and someone suggested I ask here. We have ADRs at Trails End restaurant at the Fort Wilderness Campground resort. Apparently the parking lot there is quite far from the eatery. I will be using a wheelchair. Does anyone know if they have any handicap parking nearer to the restaurant? I know they have an internal bus but I really don't want to use that. Thanks for any and all info.

There is no parking at all near the Trail's End, other than golf cart and bike parking. How will you be coming to the Fort?

You will need to use the internal bus system if you are going from the parking area to Trail's End. If you are not driving but coming from MK you can take the boat. The marina is close to the Pioneer Hall where Trail's End is located.

Thank you both. Actually we were going to drive to FW from Old Key West where we will be staying. We drive because I don't like the hassle of putting my WC or scooter onto the busses. How early do the boats start running at MK? We have an 8am ADR. I'm starting to rethink this location. LoL We have two youngins' with us and it may be a bit hard getting them up that early and rushing around just for a breakfast buffet. Thanks again folks!

When the boats start running depends on if the MK has extra magic hours or not, but a good rule of thumb is figure about 1 hour before park opening.

if not using the internal bus, which run 24 hours a day, i would rethink the 8am ressie. a lunch or dinner ressie would be doable with the MK boat ride, not sure boat would get you there early enough unless MK has morning EMH
that day.

Thanks again for all the help everyone. We decided to cancel the Trails End ADR and made one at Kona Cafe in the Polynesian Resort. We can drive there and I think I can probably walk the distance from the parking to the restaurant.

That one I always wanted to try if you want and have a handicap placard you can valet for free so it be closer.

That's what I thought too but we just stayed at FW for 4 nights and on our MK day the boat driver told us they don't start running boats until 8:30 when there's a 9:00 opening. We still had to go to Guest Relations to get our GAC so we missed RD after having stood at the boat dock for around 20 minutes (we had just missed the boat to the Contemporary or we would have hopped on that one and walked).
