Any guesses when the Disney Collection will open up booking for Disneyland 2022?

I wasn't able to get VGC for Feb but I'm holding out hope I can maybe get PP with points but you can't book yet since the 2022 point chart isn't out. This is only 4 months away, I really fee like the chart should be out. Is this normal? If so, any idea when the chart may be out? I'm booked at the Fairfield now but I have expiring points that I need to use and I really like to save the money. I'm in the east coast and my flights are booked this trip is definitely happening.

Disney Collection is a very poor value. You'd save a ton of money if you booked PP with cash and rented out your points.

This is absolutely normal. Disney Collection exchange is not built for your convenience.

This is why I rarely come to the disboards any more. This is ridiculously unhelpful and a really generic response for anyone who ever asks about using points anywhere but DVC resorts. Do you have this copied and ready to paste for anyone asking about the Disney Collection? Maybe reread the question and if you don't have a relevant/helpful response, don't respond. Just saying.

You're going to lose thousands of dollars.

If one uses their points that year for non DVC vs DVC then they have lost nothing.

Sure, renting can earn you money but that is work and requires trust and comfort some don’t want to worry about.

I’m the end, value is based on an individual wants.

I have used points twice for 3 day cruises and TBH it was a great thing because it didn’t cost me more than the $95 for each trip. Well worth it in the end over dealing with a rental.

When I read the title of this thread my immediate thought was "rent points and buy with cash". I opened the thread and that was the first post....
I don't feel the initial response was "insulting or degrading", but I see where OP might find it not helpful. In the OP, it is stated the points are expiring soon. So there are 3 viable reasons why OP didn't plan on renting
1) They are unaware of the option or the savings opportunity. In this case the response is helpful. OP states they "really like to save the money" and their name is "Proud Cheapskate".
2) The points expire early in 2022 and in general there is no availability anywhere in the system, so OP knows renting in not a viable option at this point, even though it is a better financial path.
3) OP is not comfortable renting. Effort/risk/tax/income all come to mind.
Just my thoughts...

OP asked for info on when the Disney Collection options will be available to book 2022 stays. Let's not turn the question into a debate about whether he/she should rent the points instead.

My guess is that, especially considering your screen name :), people wanted to make sure you knew the options.
