I'm bumping this because I'm interested as well. DH has just now decided that this might make a great idea for our oldest. And of course I've already thrown my Sunday paper away. We probably only need the 8 GB model, though. Are there any places offering specials, like gift cards with purchase or something?

I don't know of any good deals now (except on Amazon and the refurbs from Apple), however, next week there may some really good deals.

I am hoping for a deal on a 8kg one. I was in line to get one on Black Friday at Target (you got a $15 and $10 gc on that day if you bought one) but they sold out.

They are in stock full price at my Target now, but I'm holding out for a deal.

I guess I will be looking for one to since my Ipod was stolen from my car last night! Wah! It's the season for stealing I guess. Mine was a good one it had 60 gb more than my computer. They don't sell them that large anymore. I am soooo upset. I feel icky bc some creepy yucky person rummaged through my car! So I guess I will be looking for deals too.

Target has them for $175 with a $15 gift card. There is also a 10% off any iPod coupon for Target floating around out there. I'm not sure how long it's good for. I got one last week using these two deals, plus I had a $10 gift card off a $100 purchase coupon too - awesome!

Thanks for the heads-up! I found one of those 10% off coupons in a little ad that I got in the mail from Target. We were only going to get him the 8GB one, so now we're debating on whether to go ahead and get him the 16GB or wait for a special on the 8GB.
