My ds11 wants to have a Nerf Gun bday party at our house. In an effort to save my hand from writing out over 20 invites I am hoping to find a free and every easy to use template. Does anyone have any suggestions? My technical skills are limited to facebooking and dis'ing (and of course booking vacations!)

Thanks!

I use evites.com all the time! FB also has events pages if you'd prefer theirs but it's not as festive looking IMO.

I couldn't find cheap easy to print (I don't have Adobe so Etsy was out) Star Wars invites so I used a pic of DS from Jedi Training academy and then use the free portion of www.picmonkey.com to add text and a few basic graphics. I saved the picture to my desktop and then went on Walmart.com and was able to order the invites for pickup in store. It was 20 invites for $3.80.
Even if your DS doesn't want his pic on there maybe you can find a pic or take a picture of nerf stuff (I think oodles of nerf darts would look pretty cool).

Thanks, is there is a way to use picmonkey WITHOUT entering credit card information?

We use evites too as do all our friends. So easy to use!

You can easily create files on picmonkey without a credit card!

I created my custom card design on picmonkey, then uploaded it to Evite using their premium 'create your own' instead of their free ones. Then I applied an online promo for 15 free premium invites being distributed (I only handed out 11, so all was free!!). This was all done in September.

Picmonkey is easy. There are also dozens of free photo editor/font adding type apps. Take a pic of your ds ready for a Nerf war on your phone. Upload to a free app that allows you to add text. Add the invite info. Upload to vistaprint.com, or CVS/Walgreens, etc...print 5x7 photo cards, they come with envelopes (be sure to use a discount code)...and voila!
