Returned from DW in Nov. We occassionally FP a ride here and there..but never come back at the times on the ticket..always after the hours period and walk on with no issues. Is this still an option?? I heard they are enforcing you return between the times on the FP. Any experiences recently??

Thanks,
Bonnie :wizard:

I doubt they're really enforcing the "after window" time on the ticket, as long as you're not early. We went in October and had no problems if we were a little bit late getting there. I think maybe their philosphy is that there are only so many FP's that are distributed daily, and it won't make a difference if people are late getting back to the ride. It may make for a crunch for the FP holders if they all decide to come back at the same time. However, it makes sense to enforce the beginning of the time window. If they didn't do that, people would just get FP's, then go right in the FP line. People would see how that's done, and then clog up the FP lines, making the reward not worth the effort.

We were there 2 weeks ago and had no problem showing up late. We showed up late everytime. Alot of people dont know that you can return after the window.

Same here. Just got back Sat and was only within the window once and no problems, not even a comment. On some rides we were hours late and still no problems. :thumbsup2

We have seen people refused for not showing up on time at Soaring as well as on the new EE ride recently. In fact in can be quite embarrassing.

You know if there was no return time needed then they wouldn't bother to print it???
The fastpass system would completely fail if everyone didn't bother to honor the return time.
JMHO

We've always shown up in the window of our FP. However, we were at MGM in January and ds wanted to try TOT. We had to leave but the CM there told us to get a FP and we could use it that night. He told us that even though there is a window FPs are honored as long as they are not BEFORE the time of the FP.

We showed up at Soarin' late for our windows both times we used FP for it. The CM there told us the same thing as what DisneyMomx7 was told. We had no problems getting in after the window.

I think they may have possibly enforced the latter part of the window when they first started using the FP system, but it really doesn't seem so now. It's probably still printed on the FP slips because it's less expensive to leave that in place than to reprogram it to not print it.

We have never had an incident returning later than our FP return time. Sometimes things happen, and the CMs know that.

Remember, the point of FP in the first place is to keep you out of line and doing something else (hopefully spending $$$). If you're late to your FP because you had a longer lunch than you anticipated or because you grapped a couple Mickey bars and watched a parade, there is no way a CM would deny you entrance.

The only way I could see it being enforced is if it is a new CM trying to rigidly enforce the "rules" of FP. I'm sure a quick talk to a manager would let that person in to the attraction.

I have never ever had a problem returning late in like 100 trips ... ever. And the CM that told me that I had returned late would not be happy thats all I can say. The problem with disney is inconsistancy among CM's. You could ask 5 and get a different answer out of all of them.
