I'm not yet a member, but if you can help with some of the finances in becoming a member that might get me off the fence. Plus I may need a little help with airfare. If you can help with all of that... Yeah, sure, I'd love for you to take me out to lunch.

That is very kind of you to make this offer to a DVC member.

My DH and I make an effort to initiate conversations with strangers when we vacation. We were at a NASCAR race (Bristol) and we went to Applebee's well there was an hour wait, so we were hanging around the bar area when DH notice two gentlemen at a table for four. He asked them if they would mind if we joined them (of course paying our own bill), they invited us to sit down. We ended up having a great time with these two, our other NASCAR friends who didn't want to wait just laughed when we told them our story (guess who had a nice dinner and conversation . . . US), they ate at McDonalds.

Best of luck on finding dinner guests, I wish I could be there to join you and your wife.

Wonderful DIS'ers meet on Saturday AM (my first!). So many nice people all enthusiastic and quite knowledgeable about our favorite subject!

Even though the crowds were thick, Jill (Aeryn?) got me on early with a FastPass so I could get back to my family for our Safari tour . . .
Turned out we had time for a Tusker Counter service - I was glad to treat her and Soarin'Cutie(?) for their help.

Then FlyingPegasus(?) was ultra-kind to pass me two FP's so I could help Valerie (another DVC DIS'er) who was arriving that afternoon, and had offered to help me as well, avoid the Standby line along with my wife. They got to get on thanks to the FP's and then I got a babyswap for a 2nd ride!

Got to meet the famous Mr. Unofficial Guide and had a wonderful day in AK.
