Any disounts at the DR resorts?

We're considering going next summer. We're tied to the school calendar, so it would be in July or August. (School starts the last Wed in August.) Leaning to the Disneyland Hotel. Are there ever any discounts? Is there a better time to go (heat/crowd wise)?

The summer discounts this summer start later in August. With this year being the 60th, discounts may be more limited.

We are staying at DLH and while it kills me that we don't get a discount, this may be our only trip west and I'll admit I couldn't keep away from the light up musical Headboards- discount or no discount!

They don't announce discounts very far into the future of when they begin. I would keep an eye on Mousesavers list of DLR discounts, as well the Disneyland Offers and Discounts webpage.

Correct; Mousesavers.com doesn't seem to track when DLR discounts were released, but they do list the current/upcoming discounts.

I just got a pin code by email on 7/15 that started on 7/15 for 8/16 through 9/24. Then I got the same pin code in the mail that arrived yesterday, so the promotion had been running 3 weeks when it arrived. I just checked and PPH is pretty much sold out and so are the lowest level rooms on many nights at GCH. There are also excluded nights, like Labor Day weekend. If you want to stay on site you usually will have to book in advance and then wait to see if there is a discount later, they don't give a lot of lead time.

You can use an orbitz discount if you get one. I think they have a 15% off right now.
