Not sure if this is the right board to ask the question on but if not I am sure someone will relocate it! I was just wondering if there are any grocery/convience stores (like the little ones in all the resorts) on property that take the EBT card? I doubt it...but I would rather know for sure! TIA!

I hope not.

No, they don't, and please don't feel bad for asking. As someone I knew once said a closed mouth doesn't get fed.:goodvibes

If your on food stamps.........

....perhaps taking a vacation to Disney World isn't the best use of your money??

Ouch!!! You all are so harsh!! It's a legitimate question - the OP could have been gifted a trip, and wanted to contribute snacks or other items to the trip.

To the OP - I don't think the on-site locations would take the EBT card, but if you look on this site (if you haven't been scared off), there are other posts that mention local offsite grocery stores (and WalMart). I use the Magical Express and stay on-site, so I can't really help you there. I also don't know how the EBT works, but if it can be used at online stores, you could order stuff and have it delivered to your hotel (i.e., I order diapers, etc. through diapers.com so I don't have to pack them.)

"Gift trip" = I will love off the government, but dang it, I deserve a trip to Disney!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, and I'm sure someone will if I am, but can't those types of funds be used only to purchase uncooked food?

If so, unless there's a kitchen(ette) in whatever resort the OP is staying at, it wouldn't do much good.

They can be used for donuts, milk, soda, chips, candy, etc.

I don't think so, I have witnessed convenience stores making deals with them for cigarettes and such, which I know they are not supposed to...glad to see where my taxes go:headache:

The only way we get to go every year is work, work and then more work and staying at mods...thanks to the military discounts.

Well, how are you supposed to afford a 15 day trip to WDW and a few days at Universal if you DON'T use your food stamps???:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

It's sad when I read a thread and wish that the OP was a troll... popcorn::popcorn::
