I've seen the complete collection of Harry Potter movies (1-8) Blu Ray for $79.99. Does anyone know if it will be discounted further on Black Friday?

DH LOVES Harry Potter but we don't have them on DVD. Figured I should just get the whole set!

TIA! :santa:

I have no input on the price, just want to point out that the 8-movie set that is out now has NO extras on it. No deleted scenes, no interviews, no commentary... Nothing. I know I enjoy seeing that stuff, so I bought the movies individually. Rumor has it the set coming out next year has all the extras.

Thanks for the reply.....yea, If I don't see the price drop over BlackFriday, then I'll just pick it up. Have a $30 Best Buy reward zone certificate I can put towards it. :thumbsup2

Wow, I was not aware of this. Does this include the Blu Ray set, or just the regular set?

Thanks,

Check out the descriptions on Amazon. Looks like Bluray will have some extras, but not much. The bigger set is slated for later next year. If your DH just wants the movies, that Best Buy deal is a good price for 8 movies. I just got individual blurays fo rthe extras

OH wait next year?!

I thought the whole collection was going in the vault by Christmas and then it would be a few years before it came back out. I don't have a blu-ray player yet, but the extras on the HP Blu-rays are killing me. And I don't have the money to buy them all by Christmas:headache:

I know you asked about Blu-ray, but I was just at Walmart this morning and they had the first 7 HP movies on DVD for $3.96 each! Deathly Hallows Part 2 was $13.96 (I think!) I don't think these dvds had any extra stuff on them - but definitely an awesome price!

Walmart also has the 2 packs for sale, each containing two years (years 1-2, 3-4, 5-6) for;

Blu-rays $13 ...or maybe it's $14 each
Regular dvds $8 each

Not sure how much the newest release of HP is on blu ray, but I'm pretty sure if combined with this deal, beats the price on the $79 set.
