Anyone know of any stores (online or in person) that have coupons or perks for registering with them? Anyone know what you get?

I got a deal at Pottery Barn for registering--after the birth, they sent a code for 20% off purchase of anything left on the registry. I signed up just to get the coupon so I could buy the rug I wanted--didn't send that registry info to anyone who might actually buy me a gift. I think Babies R Us gave me a cheapo diaper bag with coupons and samples in it when I went to register in person.

This was a couple of years ago though.

Target give you a reusable shopping bag with some sample wipes, diapers and Target Coupons as well as a $20 shutterfly credit. (I also had a coupon for a $20 gc for starting a baby registry, not sure how I scored that though!)

I think Babies R us also has a goody bag of some kind

When I registered at BRU 3 years ago, their goodie bag rocked. You got a bottle, a paci, and a few diapers. This time, we got some Huggies samples, a magazine, a lot of BRU-specific literature, and that was about it.

At Target, we got the same as the PP said, a little reuseable bag, a few diapers, coupons, and a $20 shutterfly (or snapfish?) gift card.

I'm on the hunt for some good freebies/samples but they're not as good or available as they used to be. Boooo.

Not sure if you have a buy buy baby near you, but ours has a goodie bag for registering that has a born free bottle, an avent paci, a bib, lanolin sample, mustela diaper cream sample, belly bar snack, babyganics laundry detergent, rice cereal sample...

We got a coupon in the mail for BRU - 10$ gift card for creating a registry on top of the diaper sample and magazines...

Both places have 10% off completer discounts that they will give you close to your due date...

Anyone have a BRU coupon for a GC with register or Target GC deal to share?? Baby due in 7 weeks, still time to register, right?

I wish that I would have registered in person at Target as the goodies sound nice. Instead I registered online and don't think I received anything until around my due date. I received a 10 or 20% coupon good for all items left on my registry that I purchased.

I registered at BRU and got a cheapie gift bag. Then, a week later, I got a booklet in the mail with a $20 gift card coupon - brought it in, they still gave it to me. No idea how I got it.

I got a coupon for a $20 gift card for registering at Target. Brought it in, expecting to register - the lady just ended up handing me the card, so I left. :rotfl2:

Our local newspaper gives out a bag with free baby products in it. I've never gotten this myself, so I can't say how big the products are. You might want to check your local paper to see if they offer anything.

I just registered at BRU last weekend, to see what kind of "deals" there might be. I got a diaper, a small pack of wipes, a $5 off coupon, and also they will send me a coupon in the mail for 10% of to complete our registry. We can also add anything we want to the registery on the day we'd go in to complete it.

I guess it might be worthwhile to register at Target too.

So, they normally would charge for a baby to get in? Most places are free for two and under, right? Or did you get a free adult ticket?

No. The ticket you receive for your child is good for 1 admission at any age for that child. You can keep it till the child is 100 and he or she can still get in free. So it's good for that person you registered (whether he or she is a child or an adult after registration and time goes by), but you have to register your baby before he or she turns 12 months.

I think it's neat.

ETA- They didn't require a copy of my children's birth certificates when we participated. I imagine people must have taken advantage of the program. I did look at the FAQ page just now. A child 24 months and older requires a ticket.
