I need some help. My son is a senior football player this year and because all of their games were played at night, I have no really great pictures of him. Well, they made a VHS tape of the hi-lights of the season (8-1 Go Dragons!) and I'd love to be able to take some of the photos off of the tape and print them.

Is there any way to interface a VCR to a computer?

TIA

Absolutely! It requires either a seperate card or a video card that has a TV input.
If you don't want to put in a new card there are USB boxes that will plug right in such as this ATI USB card:
USB video capture
Make sure you have photo editing software as it will require some cleaning up.
If you can borrow the original tapes that were taken at the game it will make a HUGE quality difference. They may use a different format though such as digital video, which would require a DV camcorder to play back and have a different input so you have to figure that out.

I'm off to place an order !!
I knew someone from the DIS could point me in the right direction -- if there was an answer!
