Any Chances Of Special Deal Offers For October??

Does anyone know if Disney usually offers any kind of special deals during October? I was planning on making my reservations now but will be really disappointed if a month from now I could have the same deal for a cheaper price. Does anyone have any information on offers that they usually have every year?

If you go thru someplace like Dreams Unlimited(a DIS sponsor) and make ressies now, they SHOULD automatically credit you for those discounts. We ALWAYS go thru Magical Journeys and they are amazing. I don't have to watch for discounts because they do it all for me. From what I understand Dreams Umlimited is very similar and very good also.
As far as discounts...this is the time of year we always go. The first year of Free Dining it was extended to the fierst few days of Oct. As long as you checked in by those dates you got free dining the length of stay. I think I read somewhere last year or so that that year there were NO discounts offered for later in October. Last year we went the third week in October and did get a discount. We had a balance of almost $800 and with discount our balance was knocked down to $300. I think October codes don't come out until at least sometime in June, maybe later.
If you do it on your own(I never have and never will) then you should still be able to rebook at a later date with any discounts. The problem is, you'll have to watch for those codes yourself.
I still highly recommend you book thru DU or MJ. My DH has a friend at work who was given a quote for a WDW trip by a local TA. I told him that the price seemed too high to me. She contacted MJ and was given a quote much lower than her own TA gave her.
