Any chance waitlist clearing and getting reservation?

I was wondering if someone could give me thoughts about my chances of getting my reservation for a waitlisted property? We are renting points and want the BC in June. Our dates are requested and we are waitlisted.

Do waitlisted bookings ever come to fruition? I am wondering if I can get my hopes up at all for this possibility? Thanks!

While it might happen, it will be tough, esp when you combine with the nuances of renting points. Do you have a reservation in place and hope to change it over to the BC or is it BC or nothing?

Dean asked a good question. Are you currently booked at a different DVC resort and on a waitlist? What size unit are you wanting to stay in? Are you willing to waitlist day-by-day or do you want to waitlist for the entire length of your stay so that you don't have to chance changing resorts?

You still have four months for the waitlist to come through. DVC members have until 31 days out from their reservation to cancel without penalty, so you might see more cancelations at BCV around April and May, so you still have some time.

BWV costs the same amount of points as BCV and if you don't mind staying there (it's in the same general area), you can waitlist for both at the same time and go for whichever comes in first. If BWV comes through first, you can remain on the waitlist for BCV and see if it comes in later on.

I don't mean to be a "party pooper" here, but June is a VERY busy time at BCV. There is a good possibility that the waitlist for June is pretty substantial, and there might be a great deal of people on in front of you.

I would definitely make sure I had a ressie somewhere else, and I would not get my hopes up. Then, if it comes thru...it's just the "Disney fairies" smiling down on you.

I second Beca. We tried to get a studio or one bedroom in Jan 05 for June 05. None were available and we wound up at SSR. SSR is nice, though.
