We would like to do 5 nights at Vero as part of our July trip........but will be booking at the 7mnth window. Is this a busy time of year for Vero? SHould I try and book day by day? WE would be looking for a one bed or inn room with sea view!

We have stayed at VB several times June-August booking at the 7 month window. We are booked for June23-July2 this summer in a 2 bedroom. I have not called day by day for any trip and we have been going every summer for -I think this is the 6th summer. I do recall several years ago when booking a 1 bedroom the person at MS said I got one of two remaining ressies that were available for a one bedroom. I imagine it depends on the type of accomodations you are seeking.

here's another that was able to do it, no problems. We are booked a 1 BD for July 10-14. And we did not do this day-by-day either.

Is the resort very crowded during July? Is it impossible to find somewhere to sit round the pool etc?!!

We stayed in a studio last year just after the fourth of July. We only booked a few months in advance. The pool and beach were both very busy in the afternoon. The umbrellas and lounge chairs on the beach would sell out. It was also hard to find chairs near the pool. Not becuase they were occupied, but they were "reserved" with personal items (towel, beach bags, etc.)

VB has a huge problem with people running to the pool in the early am and saving chairs. This topic has been discussed at length. We very rarely use the pool, the boys who are now 12 and 15 go down the slide a few times each stay and the DH and I use the hot tub and sauna maybe once per visit, the rest of the time we are down on the beach.

We have never felt like the resort is crowded even when they are booked....well with the exception of trying to find covered parking. Which is easily remedied by going to dinner early and getting back before 9pm then no problem.

Unless you are trying to get a Beach House, I don't think you'll have much of an issue. July is a MUCH lower time for VB compared to Xmas to Easter. Of course if you want a studio or Inn room, you're chances would be much higher still.

Do any of the 1 bed units have ocean views..........even partial?!!!
What are the best and worst units to request/avoid?
Do all the inn rooms classified as 'ocean view' have a full view, or is it like the 'water view' classification at some WDW resorts which can mean"stand on your balcony and crane your head at an unnatural angle and you may glimpse some water"!!!?

When we were at VB last year, we asked if the rooms on either side of the inn looking at the ocean were also considered "ocean view" and we were told they were. So, it's not only the direct view that they are calling "ocean view." We have "ocean view" rooms this year for 2 summer trips, so I'll be able to say firsthand what's what later.

Yes , several 1 and 2 bedroom units have glorious oceanviews...only problem complete luck in snagging one. They no longer allow you to request ocean view for these units so the only for sure way is an ocean view inn room. We have been 5 times out of those 5 times in a 1 or 2 bedroom we have had 1 spectacular view, 2 nice partial ocean views, and 2 first floor with a large patio views. So its a toss up!

The buildings with the 1 and 2 BR units are U shaped with the open end away from the beach. I know the corner units on the side directly parallel to the beach are in large part, 2 BR lockoff's with the studio portion to the outside. If you are 3rd or 4th floor, you should have a nice view. The view from the ones on the sides of the U will depend on how high and how far back from the ocean you are.
