I read here that they are having previews the end of January. So would that mean they would open sooner than the announced opening of April?

We'll be there President's week next month and hoping to ride! We REALLY don't want to wait until our 2007 trip.... torture!! :worried:

hi,
some rides have a offical opening date, however in my expirence those rides usally are open a couple of hours a day for anyone before thier grand opening date. wishing you and me luck since i too will be there the first 2 weeks in feb and hope to catch a ride on it.

The January 2006 mousesavers newsletter says this:

"Although the official opening occurs in April, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club owners will have the opportunity to preview the attraction January 26-29. Visit http://www.mousesavers.com/wdwspecialevents.html#passevents for details.

Other guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort may get to try this brand new attraction beginning in early February"

I'm not sure if this is true, but I hope so! We're going the first week of February. I won't be able to ride since I'm pregnant, but my mom would be really excited to be one of the first!

We'll be there the end of Feb, beginning of March.....it would be so cool if we could ride!! Keeping our fingers crossed!

I'm never sure if you can fully trust Disney's marketing department but my mother received a brochure in the mail this past Saturday that is numbered CST #1022229-50. On the mailing label panel, it says "We're conjuring up Disney fun for this February!" Inside, it says "The February vacation you wished for is starting to materialize!" Also inside, under a paragraph labeled "Have a Ball.", it says "Beware! You may find yourself taking a sneak 'peak' ride on Expedition Everest -- Legend of the Forbidden Mountain..."

All of the text mentioned above is pre-printed text on the brochure, i.e., it is not printed at the last minute by the mailing label printers.

I should also add that we are not DVC members, AP holders, or members of any other special sneak preview "class".

4 weeks from tonight I'll be sleeping at WDW!

Wow! I am really keeping my fingers crossed now! :cool1: I am a DVC member and I don't remember hearing about the preview... oh well, I probably just skimmed over it since I knew I wouldn't be there in January.

Whats the best way to find out if they are peviewing it? :confused3 Will be there 2/8-2/14 for the very first time! :goodvibes We only plan to spend 1 day at AK, but would consider going another if it meant riding EE! Should we ask at hotel? Any advice would be apreciated!

PAula :earsgirl:

Won't be open ALL day, but hope to get on it sometime from Feb. 3-7th. ::yes:: I plan on getting to the park everyday when I am there, and seeing if they are letting anyone ride. :worship:

That's when we'll be there too and we're hoping for the same thing. Has anyone been able to get on a ride before the official opening? Do you ask someone at the beginning of the day if there is any chance or do you just stop at the attraction a couple of times a day and hope for the best?
