Any chance of getting a really cheap rate for 1 night the week of April 21-28th?

I have a house rented near Disney so I'd really only be looking for a reservation just to get FOTL access.

We're going for 2 days. Our current itinerary has us going April 23rd and April 26th, but if I could find a good rate - I would go back to back.

I do not have AAA or an AP. As we get closer, will the general rates come down? If I called the day before/of our visit and they have availability, do they discount the rooms at all?

Also, is there anything special going on that week that we would want to avoid the parks on certain days?

Thanks, in advance.

Have you looked at the resort website?? We are going Apr 22-26th and have a super saver rate available for that time. There is nothing going on that week, as Spring break is over (or mostly over) and so is Mardi Gras and Grad Bash nights. The parks are closing at 7pm instead of 10pm, so that is a good way to judge. Should be a pretty quiet week....that is why super saver rates are posted for that time.

That was what I was thinking ...... well HOPING for too!! It looks like there may be a few more people there than I thought!?!?! :confused3

if you are only going to UO for 2 days, book a room now and modify the rate if it comes down.

why wait until the night before and gamble for a discounted room is occupancy rate is low?

book the room for one night only and you will get two days of fotl perks.

any hotel guest is allowed that.
fotl perks are good for the day you check in and the entire day you check out.

We have been to USO during some busy times. One year we got the very last room available on property (HRH). The entire resort was sold out and it was still great. With FOTL access it is just wonderful. Every year we go after Easter week and Spring break. It's very nice.....it's never completely empty, but there is a huge drop in attendance. You can tell by the park hours. Also I was able to get a dinner at Tchoup Tchop very easily for 6:30.

At any rate the weather in Fla is absolutely beautiful at that time. Low humidity, not too hot....sunny and dry....big blue skies!! Have a great time! It will be great.

We'll be there too 4/22!!!

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to pitch the idea to my husband and my sister's family this weekend and see if I can't get them to bite on it!!

3 more weeks and I'll be in sunny FL

Had to chuckle at the title of your thread..."Really cheap" is a term I'd would never use to describe on-site UO room rates. The lowest rates are only low relative to the typical or highest rates.

Anyway, I'd say whatever rate you pay is worth it when you have the chance to stay on-site at UO!
