Want to show us your Disney home?

Where did you purchase your things?

Last year Disney.com had some amazing things I would have LOVED to purchase, but the wouldn't ship them here and even if they would have the shipping would have killed me!!

I really would love to have had the chandelier and the fireplace screen. I love the more subtle Disney decor.

We are working on our house, but don't really have anything obvious right now besides some snowglobes and a hanging candle holder.

We have disney stuff everywhere. Prints, cupboard handles, figurines. Pretty much every room in the house had Disney somewhere. Our Christmas is silly with Dis ornaments.

Do you know how to post pictures to show us?

I don't have a clue how to do that. It took me hours to figure out how to get a picture that was already on my computer onto Facebook. I computer illiterate!

Our living room has a very subtle Disney theme going on. Years ago I bought Amy a talking picture with all the old Disney hand drawings on it. We had to turn it off because the tv remote would set it rambling on.:lmao: We have also taken post cards from the World and framed them. Also some of the hand drawn pictures from Disney not the real cartoonie ones.

The Disney crystals on display in a cabinet. Going to need a bigger one soon.

The bathroom is going to get a remodel and the tiling I'm going to do is somehow going to have a hidden Mickey in there somewhere.

Chris.

I have lots of Disney - when we moved into this house we had an interior decorator help us out and our one big struggle was me wanting my disney stuff and her wanting it to be subtle..... apparently I'm supposed to have a 'grown up house' :rotfl2:
here's my kitchen with my Disney clock, Mickey canisters and mickey kettle - my mickey toaster broke and we couldn't find another

My saratoga print is across from the kitchen and my upstairs spare room/office has ALL the other Disney pictures - the posters, all the DVC pictures we've been sent, my Disney plates, the pin print we got last trip, the charger plate and the list goes on! I also have a HUGE hidden Mickey in the daycare painted on the wall :lmao:

Hi there! The colouring of your home is very similar to ours! I think our kitchen is close to exactly the same green colour. Mind me asking what other colours you have around your house to match? We are trying to redecorate but don't want to change that green colour, just everything else!!!

We have a colour called 'parchment' in the hall and main area - it's kind of a creamy yellowy beige - not great for little finger prints though - the living room is a darker colour of the green in the kitchen and family room is the same green since it is all open. the one thing our decorator told us is to keep it simple - try not to have too many colours as it would look 'thrown together' if we did. You can get the idea of the other colours at www.picturetrail.com/buildingahouse as we kept pics of the house from start to finish - there is one file called finished pics or something like that!!

Oh... that's great... thanks! We have that colour of green in our kitchen and entry way... beige many other places, which is fine. We also have a dark beige and a dark green... which are all lovely. But, our room is white!!! And, we have 2 bathrooms that are painted mustard yellow!!!! :crazy2: I was thinking of doing a really dark, deep purple in our room... white in one of the bathrooms and beige in the other to go with the rest of the house... but I don't know what these other ppl were thinking!!!

Did anyone else ever see the episode of House Hunters on HGTV where the woman had her entire house done with different Disney stuff??? It was a little over the top with Disney stuff (right down to the Mickey topiary outside on her front lawn) but pretty neat to see. It must have dost her a fortune for all that Mickey stuff.

We have sublte touches here and there. A few knick knacks on our shelves in the TV room. Picture frames, a POTC poster and Pirate Mickey in DS's nursery. Shower curtain and towels in the bathroom.

It would just be so much fun to watch. And of course only a true Disney fan would appreciate it. Everyone else would think she was nuts!

The new Disney Resort Collection actually offers shipping rates specific to Canada :thumbsup2

Now, there is not much on the site with a Disney theme, but that might change as the catalog is expanded. Check out http://www.disneyresortcollection.com

How weird is this...they repeated that episode I was talking about at 7pm last night. This time I had my family watch it with me. My kids thought it was a great house. DH looked at me like "Don't get any ideas!" Seriously, this woman had Mickey everything. Even the wrought iron gazebo in her backyard had Mickey details. She even had special Mickey ceiling tiles. Where would you even get this stuff???

My house accidentally has a medieval theme. I have lots of heavy dark red and brown furniture and rusty metal decor. Weird eh? S:wizard:
