Any Canadians have a Disney vacation booked for 2021? If so, when are you planning on going?

We rebooked our mostly paid Aug trip to Aug 2021. Fingers crossed. But not booking airfare until I know for sure border is open and we can get health insurance.

Cancelled June/20 trip.. I’ve been waiting and hoping to book WL/CCV for a December/20 extended long weekend. Disney at Christmas is a part of our “kick off to Christmas” tradition.
The news today of indefinitely extended CM furloughs that had originally been expected to be no longer then 6 months, combined with the upcoming reduction in park hours speaks to things being as they are now.. or worse - for some time to come. I will continue to keep a close eye on the 2021 winter months or late Spring for my next round of planning.. but I’m only guardedly hopeful at this point. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We are booked to go to Aulani in January. My wife wanted something different and special for our 20th anniversary. If it doesn't work out though I would guess we will reschedule for Disney World as we have to use up our points by the end of January.

As for a regular type of Disney World trip, I am going to guess we won't be there till June 2021 at the earliest. Don't want the kids to miss school until near the end of school. We would love to go for March Break, but I doubt it will be possible then because of the 14 day quarantine or safety.

we have nothing book yet but we were planning on Nov 2021 way before all this happened but we are not sure if we will still go or wait a bit longer like maybe 2020
we were there in Nov 2019

We cancelled one week at WDW for November 2020, cancelled Disney Cruise for February 2021 and am now hoping to book two weeks in November 2021 when we are able. We need to be able to drive across the border to fly out of Buffalo but also need the quarantine upon return to be lifted as well. Fingers crossed.

Booked for a June/July 2021 trip right now. Certainly hoping it works out but we won't go if covid is not under control. Cancelled a May 2020 trip and rented out our Jan 2021 trip (DVC) to another family... Really hoping to get back in 2021...

We are booked for March 2021 but am almost certainly canceling. I was toying with the idea of Aulani July 2021, but after reading an article in MacLeans on how Canada will likely be last in line for a vaccine (sigh) I don’t think I will bother.
We will likely just bank our DVC points into 2022 and hope spring 2022 is a go.

Tentatively September 4-12, 2021. Not booked at a resort yet though. I am hoping the All-Stars are re-opened by then as I would like to book at Movies or Sports. If not, I'm not sure what I'm going to do. It would almost be cheaper to stay off site with a rental car even with compared to the current cheapest official Disney offering (Pop Century, almost $200USD/night lol, nope, not for Pop Century, thanks).

Conversely, I suppose I could go more expensive for a moderate. What do people think, worth it to go moderate? My main issue is that the resort to me/my traveling companions is just a room to sleep/bathe and occasionally watch TV. I much prefer to be close to the pools/lobby for recreation/drink purposes and I have heard the moderates are very spread out. Opinions?

They came out today (or yesterday at this point maybe who knows anymore time is weird now!) to say that park reservation system will be in place for the "foreseeable future" whatever that means because they feel it allows them to better serve guests & cast members & to allow a more magical experience (uhm ok). Park hours are reduced and there are currently no "extras" like parades, character meet n greets, fireworks etc and who knows when that will change. No park hopping allowed with the reservation system AND having a ticket doesn't guarantee getting into any park at all. I believe onsite guests get to make reservations sooner??

All of the above says to me you'll want to stay onsite AND your room will be for much more than just sleeping & bathing now (the current date says Sept 26th for the reservation system). Personally I would go for a moderate if you have more than 2 people or you'll be stepping on each other the entire trip! Depending on which resort you end up staying in will determine the distance between room and extras resorts have to offer and i know that most of the moderates have internal bus systems. CBR has the freestyle pop machines at the bus stops as well. There are also NO recreation activities currently happening and no idea when those will start up either. So pick a resort you like the theming of and go with the understanding that it won't be the Disney trip of your memories :(

I haven't stayed at a Mod yet... but I believe the two Port Orleans are smaller than the other two. But they all seem to have "preferred" rooms which are closed to the buses and main building, so closer to the stuff you are looking to be close to. I believe CBR at least has some additional places for their pop machines, outside of their restaurants and bars. Plus it's on the skyliner so might be fun to get to/from a couple parks? That is also probably why POP is higher priced, skyliner and the renovated rooms.

I am hoping more than a year from now is not the "foreseeable future" for Disney lol. If the current restrictions are still in place in a year I think the US would still be off limits for me in total. I won't pay Disney prices for half of the experience there but more importantly I won't enter the States if they can't get their numbers under control. We should have some sort of vaccine by that time hopefully. We'll see. :)

We had hopes to go in February 2021 - hoping to do the Princess Half Marathon. It looks very likely that we'll be forced to cancel. I'm training anyway in hopes that it will happen.

I'm sure the training is great for you regardless. And way more than I'll ever be able to run!

I don't like to share information I can't back up, this screenshot is directly from the Disney site and why I thought you might be interested based on the dates you're looking at20200827_191214.jpg

I have a girls trip with friends booked for January 2021 (initially switched from September 2020) and my daughter's 4th birthday trip moved from September 2020 to May of 2021. We rented DVC points for our September stay and now have a use it or lose what we've paid, as some of the points expired.

Oh yeah, they've had that since they extended my tickets to September 26, 2021 and the new reservation system came on line earlier this year. I don't think it means anything in terms of resort openings. I'm not too worried yet. Still lots of time.
