I have a friend from out of town visiting this weekend, and she has offered to take DD to Blizzard Beach on Saturday, so I can have some "me" time. She also knows that I don't do "public" in a bathing suit!

Anyway - I have never paid too much attention to the water park info, as I figured we would be "crossing that bridge" next year!!!

If any one has any tips they could share we would realy appreciate it!

My friend is asking about:
1) Locker Rentals - I know the answer is yet
2) Towels - I know you can rent or bring your own
3) Chairs - I think I have read and it makes sense that the earlier in the day you arrive, the better the chance of securing one for your stay.
4) I would think most people would wear water shoes?
5) Food - I think you can bring beverates, etc, as long as no alchohol or glass - this I know I can find the answer to on the website....

Any other tips from veterans of the water parks!

Thanks in advance!

We just went to BB last week and had a good time. Water shoes would be a good idea while you are in the wave pool. The surface is pretty rough. I don't believe you can wear them on the slides tho. I would say getting there right when it opens would be a great idea. We went on a Thursday, and it got crowded quickly. Locker rental was easy. We brought our own towels, but that looked easy as well. Tell her not to forget to try some of those yummy mini donuts while there :)

1 & 2) You can rent towels and lockers at the same time at at least 2 locations (I followed the first sign which was the Beach Haus store, but you can also rent them right by the first bank of lockers). Towel rental is $1 each. Small lockers are $10, but then you get $5 back when you return your key.

3) Chairs seemed to be first come, first served. Looked like the wave pool is the most crowded and the kiddy areas.

4) DS5 had water shoes. I did not. It did not bother me as it was hot, but not feet burning hot. I actually ended up carrying DS's for 1/2 the day. I would say it's 50/50 on shoes vs. no shoes.

My other advice would be to use the EMH if you can. DS and I went on everything that he was tall enough to ride multiple times in the first 1.5 hours. By 11:00 AM it was noticibly more crowded so we floated around on the lazy river and visited the kiddy areas after that.
