Any benifit of paying off Disney Cruise with Disney Visa?

The latest I heard was a 10% discount on onboard purchases if you pay your entire fare with the disney visa.

Ah, I see. Well, I'll research into stuff more next time I guess. Just had to put in final payment.

In order to receive the $50 onboard beverage credit (the previous reward benefit) you had to pay the entire fare with your Disney Visa card.

My understanding is that now you simply have to enter your Disney Visa card as payment for onboard payments. I haven't seen anywhere that you also have to pay the entire balance with the Disney Visa as well. :confused3

That's a nice added perk that can be more the value of the beverage credit. Thanks for the link.

Where are you seeing this info? The only 10% off I know about is if you purchase $50 or more from the gift shops on board; only need to use your Disney Visa, not pay cruise in full on visa. What is included in these on board purchases you mention besides gift shops?

Regarding the beverage credit, my understanding is that has expired.

What if you use the Disney VISA to deposit into a Disney Vacation Account then pay the cruise with that? Same benefits?

The only requirement now is to put the Disney VISA on your account as the card all charges are to be billed to.

It's all spelled out here...

That's pretty simple then. So 10% discount on onboard purchases includes drink purchases? i.e. your bar tab?

Nothing new here.

Kind of not the same question but it is in same vein: someone on a different thread pointed out you can prepurchase on board credits with your Disney Visa (for example for gratuities or anything else you know will be charged to your on board acc't) and not only will you earn the 1% (in our case 2% w/ Premier card) in rewards but you have the 0% int w/6 mos to pay it off. I thought that was a really great tip for using Disney Visa.

Thanks for this!

We have the Disney Premier card (2x points at Disney, Gas, Grocery and someplace else:teeth:)

And we have to fly and the Disney Premier Rewards can be used to pay for flights.

So I use my Disney Visa for ALL Disney Purchases (with the 2x points) and save up the rewards to help pay for our airfare across the country.

I've become a fan of the Disney Vacation account. I'm paying into the DVA with my Disney Premier Visa and getting 2% rewards (no 0% interest though). That way I'm ALSO getting the $20 gift card per $1000 spent out of the DVA which effective gives me 4% back on the cruise (2% reward = $20 per $1000 + $20 gift card per $1000 spent from the DVA). The one gotcha is not getting the 0% interest but I don't carry a balance on my card and pay it off in full each month.

What really stinks is that the 10% off on select photo packages is it says non discounted. So you cant get the photo book nor can you get the discount when you pre order because that is considered discounted. So there really is no benefit there.

Hopefully one of you will know the answer to this. I'm a Disney Visa holder and am planning to pay off the balance of the cruise with said Visa. Can I pay it off online or do I have to call DCL or do I have to call the Walt Disney World Vacations Company in order to get the 6 months 0% financing? I forget who I spoke to when I asked this question (either Visa itself or DCL) and they said I have to pay through the Walt Disney World Vacations Company but this just didn't seem right. Any help would be great! Thanks!

We just booked a Disney cruise and are using our Disney Visa to pay for it. We upgraded to Premier so we could get 2% back instead of 1%.
This isn't our primary card we use for rewards. Just using it for this trip and Disney trips because we will use the Disney bucks at the parks, etc.
