Any benefit to paying off balance early?

I was just wondering if there is any benefit to paying off the balance of our trip early. Or, is there any negative consequence for doing this (cancellation policy but we have insurance so maybe not). Just curious because I have been saving up gift cards and can pay a month early but not sure if we should just wait until the final deadline.

Doesn't make any difference either way. Just be sure to pay it by the due date.

I would just pay it. Be sure to hold onto the used gift cards. If for some reason you need to cancel, funds are returned to the original form of payment.

When I use any gc, I prfer to use them up to pay for things that can be paid in advance. It's less to keep track of once on vacation. I don't want to waste precious time fussing with cards. Though now Disney gc can be consolidated so it's probably a lot easier.

I would go ahead and get it paid off - that way you don't have to worry about it - we had ours paid off about 5 monhts in advance, and the "payments" were made to gift cards to be spent while on vacation

Benefit of paying it off ASAP is that you don't have to worry about it as your trip gets closer. All you have to do is get excited and pack
