I'm glad to hear. Just because they are older doesn't mean they still haven't been effected by the lack of financial support by their father. Also the mother may have suffered financially due to having to support her children on her own. I know not the point of the post but having seen mom's struggling to support their kids after the father gets off scott free it just annoys me.

I had a father like that. As an adult I heard what a wonderful person he is and how he helped so many others with money , jobs and co signing for other....well he didn't do jack for me and he didn't help my mom. My mom struggled and sometimes was on welfare and food stamps and other times she worked two jobs. I can say I'm sure it was hard for my mom but we were better off without my dad. I'm a better person for growing up with out him, I guess. As a mother I cant imagine walking out of my DD's life.

For my coworker shes trying to do the right thing and give money gift to fulfill the person who died last wishes , which is to give that money. Other then that she said she just wants to move on.

Made me think I need to make sure I get all my stuff in order. All my money or life insurance goes to DH and DD.


so thanks everyone I only ask on here because we discusses this on our break and co worker called her tax person but didn't hear back from her until 4 days later but I had already asked here.
