Any American Girl codes?

Well 2 of my girls are done for Christmas from Grandma. Now I just have to figure something for the youngest. My middle DD wanted the Jess doll and I hated to wait.

I loved the totes but Dh said no. :rotfl: Maybe next order. ;)
That's one reason I bought some extra things. If my mom or grandmother don't know what to get her, they can just buy one of the items I got from me. Makes their shopping easier.

I hope they don't come out with too many new things in September when the new book comes out. I'm sure I'll be ordering more then once my DD gets ahold of the book.

Is your youngest into American Girl? The bitty baby's are adorable and that's what my DD got started on. She still carries her everywhere along with Marisol. I'm going to need a bigger vehicle since I purchased this third doll (just like me girl) for christmas. Now she'll be taking all 3 with her.

We have 3 bitty babies in my house (each has one) and my oldest has one that is too look like her. We also have a few of outfits for bitty baby, the backpack, a high chair and the crib. Most gifts from my family or MIL.

We just starting reading the books for each doll so I have this feeling we will be getting more AG stuff in the coming years. :rotfl:

I can't wait until the youngest (is very scared of crowds) is older so we can go to NYC to the store when I visit my "family" I nannied for in NJ. Mommy wants to go so bad :rotfl2:

I have to say we got so lucky year before last at Christmas. We have an American Express card and they always have that "25 days of christmas" in dec. Well I always try to get the car (LOL); imagine my surprise when I "won" the American Girl stuff. $1000 worth of stuff for $398. Needless to say I was shocked as I hadn't expected to win. Of course dd had a WAY, WAY bigger Christmas than planned. I saved some for her bday in march. There were 35 boxes :scared1: . She got Nellie, Samantha, that horse and sleigh (that thing is huge and way more than I would ever pay for something). Tons of clothes, books, accessories. She already had Josephina and a Bitty Baby and Bitty Baby twins and Bitty Baby stroller (grandparents spoil her).

She always gets money for bday and Christmas, and I always put it into an account. She has never spent any of it, so I broke down and let her order some stuff. She is getting Jess and some accessories. She is so funny. She just came in with a poster she made announcing the arrival of jess on Wed (the projected delivery date). It is a poster announcing a party with food and drinks. She is so excited to get her order. :Pinkbounc

My 10 yo DD has nine AG dolls -- All of the historical ones (except Elizabeth) and she has one AG today doll (Marisol). We just got back from California a couple of days ago. While there, I took her and my niece to the new American Girl Place in Los Angeles. We had lunch in the cafe and had a great time shopping. I bought her the new guitar set, the outfit w/ the guitar, a licorice doll outfit w/ purse and an AG Place outfit that can only be bought in the store. It was soooo much fun! I'd recommend it if anyone ever has the chance to visit. :thumbsup2

Next year I told DD that we'd plan another bus trip for her birthday. Bad thing is her birthday is in January so I told her we'd go in the spring or summer as one of her gifts. Heck, I'll need the extra time to save more $$.

My DD loves that guitar outfit. I haven't purchased that set though. Maybe I'll send the link to my mom to get if she wants.

Cute pix of DD at AG.

How is the bus trip? I saw about it before but I figure it would be easier to drive with 4 of us and then visit a few days up there. we are only about 3 1/2 to 4 hours away.

Your DD looks happy to be at the AG Place.

Well WDW is next year and in 3 years we plan on going to Chicago (4 hour drive) to get DD her 1st AG doll and that way she can pick and buy something that's not in the catalogue or internet. I thought that would be special to plan it around her birthday. She's collecting all the Bitty Baby stuff now and wants the Pram for Christmas.

I live in PA as well and we're taking the NY bus trip through Conestoga Tours. We leave at 7:00 or so on a Saturday morning and don't return till like 9:00-10:00 Sunday night. On Saturday they drop you off and you get to shop for like 6/7 hours and then they'd take you to the hotel to check-in/rest if you'd like. Then you can go back to shop for another 3 hours or so. On Sunday, after you check-out, it's back to NY to shop or do whatever until it's time to depart. I'm so excited about going and I didn't want to have to worry about driving, parking, etc. I wanted a nice trip and someone escort me for a change...

A bus trip sounds like fun. We are about 900 miles away though, and driving was our only option after just speinding all our money at Disney World in May! I wish we lived closer like some of you others. I'd be there all the time! I guess it's a good thing that I'm not close because I'd be broke.

Someone said the doll totes were sold out online but there were tons in the store. They also have a wall of exclusive outfits that say "American Girl Place" on them that you can't buy online.

I wonder what the new historical doll will be this year? Who's best friend? And, will there be another movie?

The doll totes are available online now. They are new and differ from some sold in the store. The stores carried them before the catalog but they were red/black so I'm not sure if they have the NEW style ones in or not but imagine they would.

The 3rd best friend is Molly's friend Emily Bennett and yes there is a movie coming out this fall! My daughter is so excited!
Emily has long straight reddish hair and a cute light blue dress with red flowers. If you want to see her do a search on amazon for american girl Emily and the mini doll will show up available as a preorder.

Be sure to eat at Carmine's! It's delicious there! :thumbsup2

What age is okay for a Bitty Baby? I've never had dolls in the house and I would love to buy one for my soon to be princess. We don't have a referral yet but she'll be around a year when we bring her home. Is it over the top to have one waiting for her?

I think it would be absolutely wonderful to have one waiting for her. My dd has a Bitty Baby and the Bitty baby Twins. Your dd may a bit young to play with them, but they can sit on a shelf for when she is ready. She will let you know when she wants them. Let me tell you, they can take a bit of roughhousing. Go ahead and get her one as the price will only go up. Then it will be there when she is ready. They are adorable. My dd loves hers even now at age 9. Good luck with your dd. Hope she comes to you soon.

First, Congratulations on your upcoming adoption! We've been to China two times now for our princesses!

Secondly, Bitty baby was intoduced to our oldest DD when she was 2 and it's still like new and she does play with it. Some of the accessories for BB can be choking hazards, so just watch for those. I think your DD will be fine with one as long as you watch her when she has crayons, markers and food around her. ;)

We are getting our 2nd BB for our yongest this Christmas (Santa) since she wants to steal her older sisters and that doesn't go over too well. I'm just waiting now for a shipping code to come out again to order it.

Wow, you've been twice! We think this is a one shot deal for us since we have our three boys. We're getting close to referral. I think we'll just miss the cut-off for July so we'll get ours in August. That way she'll be home late October or early November.

I think I'll start with just the baby and add accessories when she gets a little older.

So, should I get just the doll for $42 or splurge for the starter set for $98? Which is the better deal?

Thanks!

I got my order on friday. I love the stuff but wanted to warn others of girls clothing running small IMO. I ordered 2 sizes bigger (for next year since they are holiday gifts) for my girls and both outfits were tight on them now. The clothes are the matching outfits for the dolls and very cute. :goodvibes

The only thing is my youngest was sad since she wanted to try on her outfit and we didn't order her one. (only the 2 older girls are really into the dolls right now) I guess I better get out the cataloge and find her one and a bitty baby outfit too. Grandma is going to love me :rotfl: (grandma is paying for the girls gifts so she doesn't have to shop for them)

I splurged for the set and I don't regret it at all. They love to play with the rattles, feed the baby, etc...
